I’m back playing for the first time since Cata, and I know I can use chromie time. However, I’m playing with a new player who doesn’t have access, but wants to level in MoP content. At this point we both have new level 11 toons and want to get to Pandaria, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how.
I feel foolish for not being able to figure this out.
MoP zones will scale from level 10 to 35, after that you will have to move on to WoD, Legion, or BFA in order to keep leveling. To access it, simply visit the Warchief’s Command Board in Orgrimmar for Horde, or the Hero’s Call Board in Stormwind for Alliance.
Keep accepting the available quests from it and refreshing it until you get the option to go level in Pandaria. That’s all there is to it.
You can talk to Chromie to raise the level cap of expac zones it looks like…
I still haven’t bought Shadowlands so i’m still on BFA. When i talk to Chromie at the embassy and tell her to send me back to my present timeline it sends me to BFA. When i look at the dungeon finder as a level 10 all i see is a BFA dungeon. When i look at Pandaria it says 10-35 like you mentioned. When i look at Outlands it says 10-30 and WOTLK also says 10-30. However when i talk to Chromie and tell her to send me to the Cata timeline then Pandaria, Outlands and WOTLK now say 10-50. When i go to Outlands timeline Pandaria/Outlands and WOTLK still say 10-50.
I dont know what the pros/cons or speed or fun level would be like for a level 10 going into Outlands or Northrend. I took my level 46 Demon Hunter into Hellfire Peninsula in Outlands and i’m 4 bars away from 50 and i’m still in HFP questing for the dwarf explorers and the cenarion post near the end of the zone. For Chromie time if you want to do dungeons for a particular expac then select that timeline when you talk to her. If you want to do dungeons in Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms those fall under the Cata timeline.
Pretty sure you need 1 character at lvl 50 to access Chromie Time.
Any new player will be unable to access MoP until after they hit 50. After 1 toon on your account is lvl 50, all toons can access Chromie Time whenever you want. I don’t think you need to own SL.
This is true, but OP stated his friend does not have access to chromie time yet. Therefore they would have to level through the old content with the level restrictions for the first character.
Chromie time isn’t required to access old expansion content. You can still play through it the old way as I mentioned above, it just will have the pre-chromie-time level restrictions attached.
This is absolutely correct though! Everyone can utilize Chromie time if they have a level 50 character without purchasing Shadowlands.
On the horde side there is a hot air ballon in the valley of honor (iirc may not be sure of the name but its near the fishing trainer) and I am not sure where it is in Stormwind. But you basically tqlk to them to get a port. Also check the portals as there is one to pandaria.
