Trying to do Nyalotha and can’t figure out how to get this version of vale.
i could do uldum on all my chars just fine, so i’m confused about what im missing

The reason why you could do Uldum is because it’s bugged and is allowing people to phase to the BfA timeline when it shouldn’t. It just so happens that the vale isn’t bugged and is therefore correctly blocking anyone who hasn’t done the requisite quests from accessing the BfA phase of the zone.
That being said, it is unbelievably stupid that the restriction still exists at all. Even a level 1 character should be allowed to phase the zone to the BfA timeline if they wish.
As for figuring out the right quests to unlock it, all I can say is good luck. You’re gonna need it. 
You can try the btwquests addon. But it’s not 100% accurate. Often times the quest you actually need is from beardmanwhatshisname in the heart chamber in Silithus.

Good luck is right, bfa seems to be completely broken. I just don’t bother on any alts that don’t have the cloak or haven’t done content there, they can’t see or do squat there. /shrug they can keep their stuff, ill live without it

It’s not so much broken as it is a very lengthy and complicated process to go through to unlock it. It doesn’t help that a lot the quest chain sometimes suddenly ends with no indication as to how to continue it. That’s where the madman known as Magni comes in.
OP is better off paying a lock to summon him inside the raid.

If you just want to do the LFR version, you can visit Kiku:
Kiku - NPC - World of Warcraft
or the Horde version, Eppu:
Eppu - NPC - World of Warcraft
You can then do the various wings of the Raid on that version solo.

There will be a quest at your hub, that takes you to see Anduin/Wrathion in the heart chamber in Silithus.
Quest name escapes me unfortunately…
When you see Anduin sock Wrathion in his egotistical mouth, you are on the right track and almost done.
It can be quite painful to figure out… Went through this semi recently trying to complete the Anniversary secret mount quests.

I think… The quest is called Visions of N’zoth.
Picked up from Boralus/Dazar’Alor respectively.

Blizz should do what they’re great at, and shoehorn some random npc somewhere that has the magical ability to send the player to mythic nyalotha
bonus points if it send you straight to nzoth

IDK if they ever patched it, but fun fact about the LFR npc, it won’t offer the last wing to you unless you have already obtained the n’zoth cloak.

if you can get to the water phaze of battle for az ?, once you make it to the base, after a few quest, brann shows up, ask you to head to chamber of heart in silth, you are looking for a quest called ‘’ a dying world ‘’ i think it is ?, this leads to unlocking the vale. i know this is true, as i had to unlock it for both horde and ally side to get to the rare that spawns in the lower halls area.

Also don’t you still need friendly with the three main BFA factions to unlock Naz’jatar? (Which in itself is required to unlock the corrupted Uldum/Vale?)
These restrictions need to disappear on the next expansion, not still be in place years later.
TBH IDK. Although it may not be a major issue since bfa is the next expac in line to gain account wide reps.
