How do I get the LFR tier set?

I’d like to get the LFR tier set for transmog, but I can’t roll on them because I have better pieces, and I don’t want to use catalyst charges because I don’t have full mythic pieces yet. So I’m saving them for vault pieces to catalyze

So Is there some way to get the LFR tier set in this situation? Or do I just have to waste catalyst charges?

I acquired the LFR and Normal raid skins by doing LFR on 2 alt paladins. Using 2 got me the full mog very quickly.

i have better peaces and i can still roll need on transmog I dont have

I was hoping that wasn’t the answer :frowning: I don’t have any alts of the same class as my main. I’d have to level one

Buy Veteran gear from catchup vendors. I haven’t paid attention to what vendors have them this patch, but I assume Nightfall vendor does.

Use the catalyst to turn said gear into LFR tier. If you don’t have any charges left, or you have more important things to use them on, just hold onto them and wait for Blizzard to flip the switch and make it infinite charges for the season.

Just do be aware that once next season hits, while you will still be able to convert your Veteran gear, you will no longer be able to upgrade their ilvl, thus will not be able to get the Normal tramsmog out of your Veteran pieces. A fact that I find very annoying, because if people want to spend their valorstones on old gear, let them imo. It’d help fresh alts hit ilvl checkpoints anyway

Collect the full set in random vet pieces (that are below 5/8 upgraded) and save them in your bank. Once season 3 hits take them to the catalyst and get the set for free.

Get the omni tokens off Gallywix or hold on to a few pieces to use when you have charges/after the season when it is free to use.

Buy a set of gear from the delve vender n wait till s3 and you can convert it for free. S1 is free right now, you can make it with Sirens Isle gear.

Yeah, the general goal to do before the end of the season is to collect pieces for the free catalyst transmog.
Veteran 1-4 gives LFR tier appearances.
Veteran 5-8 and Champion 1-4 gives Normal tier appearances.
Champion 5-8 and Hero 1-4 gives Heroic tier apperances.
Hero 5+ and Myth gives Mythic tier appearances.

Just use the wardrobe sets to see which pieces you need and collect and upgrade items to the levels you need to be able to convert them to tier appearances in the following season. Main thing to remember is that you can’t upgrade after the season ends (since all the seasonal currency deletes itself when the season ends) so to upgrade things before that point.

Blood, sweat and tears by running LFR and praying.

Or just do iLVL appropriate content, save all the gear and when S3 starts you get to catalyse all of S2 gear for free.

I have two characters that have half a bank each of gear from S2 at varying iLVLs that I will use when S3 starts, catalyse all of it for free and get the mogs from it.

Not sure what class is your main, but Warlock in particular you can throw gold at the problem as the shoulder and belt BoEs from the raid both share the Warlock tier appearance.

If you have Priest or Mage alts it might be worthwhile still to farm LFR as there are cloth bracer and boots that drop in the raid that match the Warlock tier appearance.

With those drops and tier you would only need to waste a catalyst charge on a veteran track cloak to get the full Warlock set.

But it’s honestly pretty easy to level an alt; that alt will have 7 catalyst charges as of now to use.
