This new interface is bad, really bad and I DO NOT want to make 100’s of adjustments to try and get it similar to the old interface, I want a one click solution.
To change someone’s setup like this is inexcusable and arrogant.

The only option is to find an addon that makes the adjustments back to the original UI. I’ve heard that there are a few out there, but I have not checked them out, so I can’t vouch for their effectiveness.
Well, no. It’s their game, and they can make any changes they want. The game is never guaranteed to stay the same. In fact, that is a big part of the EULA we all agree to when we play.
More people than not have been crying for years for an update to the UI and after 18 years, this is the first major step to being able to customize the UI without the use of addons.
But, since there are so many people that are adverse to change, Wowhead put out an article on how to set up the new UI to look as close to the old UI as possible. They even included an import string and step by step instructions to make it as simple as a couple of clicks and you’re done.
I have memory problems due to covid and another illness from years ago. This is a hardship for me and it is arrogant. This telling people they have to like something whether they do or not.
Your reply is typical liberal arrogance.
This has nothing to do with politics or views and it is best not to troll the forums.
It is not inexcusable to change the game interface. Cyntaria also gave you the information you seek.
If you want to provide feedback to the Developers about changes, you can use the in-game suggestion tool or post on General Discussion. There are no Developers on the Support forums nor do support folks pass suggestions along. That is the role of the Discussion forums and Community Managers there.
I’m sorry to hear that, but that still doesn’t mean that Blizzard will put game improvements on hold.
Actually, I would say it’s arrogant to expect Blizzard to make changes (or not make changes, in this circumstance) to the game just to accommodate you. Be that as it may…
No one said you have to like it. You’ve been given options for how to return the default UI to as close to before as possible. Whether or not you take that advice it totally up to you.
Frankly, that isn’t Blizzard’s problem.
There are addons to change it back. You can also use the Classic Layout option on the UI screen.
It’s not arrogant. It’s how game development works. If changes to the UI are arrogant, then so are Dracthyr.
So, you’re a troll looking to stir things up.
Best of luck to you.
The correct way to have implemented this was to have a popup in game announcing that the UI is now customizable and those that wished to could make the changes.
The fix posted in this thread still requires making many many changes, moving windows, resizing, etc, etc
It in not a revert to the old UI.
Well, you’re more than welcome to set up your own multi-billion dollar company and do it right.
I don’t believe that but don’t live on these forums.
I am sure those that did want the changes do believe themselves to be in the majority.
I do recall the last UI change from the original classic was also complained about by many many people.
This is just to much change for me. To have to do it for every character is something I just can’t do.
Anyone know how to get a refund for the latest expansion?
I haven’t entered the new content even though it appeared to download.
The game is now unplayable for me and I wouldn’t have bought the expansion if I’d known I couldn’t revert to the one I was used to easily.
There has never been a UI change like this in the history of WoW.
You don’t have to do it for every character. Just follow the instructions to import the UI from the Wowhead article I posted above. Give that layout a name and it will save it. Then you can log over to another character, go into edit mode and that profile layout will be listed and you can just click and save it for the that character.
If you still want a refund, you can follow the instructions listed in this article:
Maybe it was the character look change, although I recall the UI being changed somewhat also. It just wasn’t as editable. But that could be due to my memory .
I tried it, all it did was change the action bars, I still need to resize, relocate and edit the whole thing. Tried doing it, had to restart several times because I go to move one thing and other things either wouldn’t move with it or would when I didn’t want them to. After a reset I would forget if I had tried this or that. It became to frustrating.
Played since the beta.
Bought every expansion.
WoW helped me get through the pandemic and lockdowns.
Oh well end of an era.
If people think the new UI changes are an imporvement your wrong. look at WoW’s sub numbers and everytime they have changed the game it has gone down significantly and making a giant change such as the UI to where you cant go back to the old one makes no sense we have seen it that people want to go back to what WoW is, thats why classic WoW came out in the first place
