Just trying to get the staff from Hyjal. Got 3/4 focuses with Shannox the last. To get the items, he has to throw traps going in solo, he doesnt throw traps. Mindbender will probably kill him. Any other options?

Use shadowfiend and let it hit shannox a couple times(or maybe once at max 60 i forget), once it got him to around 30% he throws the trap, be sure to end shadowfiend early though bc the whole duration will kill him(just right click the sf buff off).
Get cced by the trap and sit through it, grab the foci that spawned after ur cc. to get ALL of them you will have to run out or die by jumping off the side somewhere to reset and get the next, rinse and repeat

Got the staff tonight.
Had to run firelands 7 times today… Norm/Hero for the last of the 1000. Then Heroic 5 timed for the 250 and the heart of fire.
Can confirm this way works. Make sure you do it with no gear on so you don’t accidentally 2 shot him with shadow fiend.
