How do I downgrade a mythic+ key

I have a +8 RLP key and I would like to downgrade it to 6.
I have put dungeon difficulty to Mythic and have reset all instances.
Every time i go into the dungeon it keeps going into the mythic 0 instance.

How do i reset the instance so i can downgrade the key?

Take it to the NPC standing by the bank. The pandaren near the bench/stairs.

As mentioned, it’s a Pandaren near the bank where the M+ portals used to be. Their name is Lindormi.

You can run it in a pug (the good old fashioned way) or start it in the instance, run out and reset twice, or talk to Limdormi in valdrakken as stated.

thank you everyone! Didn’t know there was a npc now. Back in shadowlands i dont think this was the way to do it

So my key is +6 now but when I go into the instance by myself it still is the mythic 0 instance.

Will this be a new instance only if i make a party first?

If you make a party, and click on the little keystone holder thing at the start of the instance, you will be ready to start. You have to put the key in to start the m+ run (make sure to have a group first, though)

M+ starts in a regular M0. There’s a pedestal to put your key into somewhere at the start.

It’s a zero until you put the key in. You can also downgrade by putting key in, leave dungeon, and reset instance.

I guess ill need to make a group first so when i go inside the instance it puts me at the start. At the moment i am not in a group and going in mysekf puts me in the mythic 0 instance near the end.

There should be a pillar that you put your keystone into. M+ and mythic share the same difficulty, the keystone that you insert is what makes it special.

You could also try resetting all instances if you’re having troubles.

I have reset all instances and i understand there is a pilar for the key in. Its just that it takes me near the end of the dungeon despite resetting it multiple times.

I will try to go in with a party now.

Did they change this? Previously M0 had a weekly lockout on loot, but you could “reset all instances” and run the same M0 as many times as you like, just no loot after the first run of that instance.

Nah that’s still how it works, you can run RLP 4 times for the dungeon quest if that’s what you wanna do.
