I’m not a fan of the new contextual tracking on the Minimap in the new UI of 10.0.
One thing in particular is really bothering me. On the old UI, it was possible to disable target tracking. But now it seems to be auto-locked to “on” which is not what I want. If I need to see where my target is on the minimap, I want the option to turn that on, but most of the time I don’t care and I want it off.
Please add a setting to the game to allow me to disable target tracking again on the minimap.

I also was wondering how to turn it off

They probably had data showing that more ppl had it turned on than not, but I think it should still be an option, not forced on ppl.
Never take functionality away is a pretty good rule to follow. Give me toggles and options.

Yeah, this actually sucks. I don’t want any of this “adaptive” tracking BS. I don’t need to see innkeepers or flight masters or repair or, or, or… The list goes on and on. If I want it on, I’ll turn it on. Most of the time I want all minimap tracking OFF. It’s not helpful, I don’t like it at all. Horrible change.

Mailbox is one of the few tracking options that I keep on all the time. Most stuff I keep off, and I only turn it on if I’m unable to find what I’m looking for on my own.
Remove the clutter please, Blizz. Please allow me to have full, unhindered control over what is tracked and what isn’t.

I need to turn this crap off. I don’t track the stablemaster on my hunter, let alone of my freaking paladin. I literally only track herbs and ore.
Minimap tracking
This will turn off everything you don’t want. There is no global save, so you need to config each toon.
There are 24 trackers which can be turned off, including auctioneer, banker, barber, battlemaster, flight mstr, item upgrade, prof trainer, repair are more.
use this with basicminimap and bartender to get a useful ui instead of the garbage default.
