I got to renown 45 on my arms warrior with the Venthyr covenant and decided to switch my character to the Night Fae covenant afterwards. After about two days of steady grinding I got to renown 40 with the Night Fae covenant. I thought I would be able to get to renown 45 with the Night Fae covenant this week but for whatever reason it seems that I cannot. I tried doing a couple of mythic+ dungeons and no renown dropped after I got to renown 40. I already completed the covenant campaign quests, did the world bosses, have finished my anima reservoir quest, and returned the lost souls. I’m stuck with the Chains of Domination quest campaign at 4/9 and it says that I need to earn 44 renown to continue the campaign. Any help would be thankful.

I forgot to mention that I did all my callings.
I just decided to switch my main literally the date of the patch drop.
I noticed that renown quests give 2 renown at a time. So far I’ve gotten enough renown to stay caught up with the covenent quests except for once, I needed to do a Calling, which also rewarded, you guessed it, two renown.
So yeah, it’s easier than ever.
Just switch covenants and do the quest line basically.
I feel sorry for you and have to say it is the ussual overhype and lies from this company. I have only got 1 character up to 40 and I did it tonight, the past 2 or 3 days I have only been able to get 1 renown rank per day from the calling. So basically you have been purposefully renown rank reduced by Blizzard because you made the choice to change, they have taken a week from you for making the choice. There is no excuse whatsoever why you can’t just pay some kind of currency even to change your covenent without any change to your rank system, if you worked for a month to get to a certain level, why should you have to sacrifice your invested effort and time into a black hole just to swap covenant? … because they wanted to take subscription time out of your wallet … without consent.
Not to necro an week old post, but I came here for the same information. Switched to Kyrian on my Hunter and got to 40 renown easy enough. Now it seems the only way to get catch up renown is callings. I got 41 yesterday and 42 today. Have done multiple keys and even LFR.
My guild raids this evening and I won’t have the third potency conduit. Disheartening, because I was under the impression Blizzard made catch up faster and easier than before. At this rate, it will be a week before I’m caught up.
