Most people here are troll who play only random BG and complain about DH, you won’t find your answer.
But i will answer you, Warlock with fire mage is probably the hardest matchup for a DH.
What you have to do is play on the dampening. and kill the warlock.
Always take Eye of Leotheras if healer dispell it he wont have the time to dispell your infinite star.
Playing night elf is also better than blood elf again’st warlock because you can easily avoid 1 chaos bolt.
Also never never interupt something except a chaos bolt.
Don’t hesitate to use your detainment on the warlock.
Use meta for burst and also as a defensive after dampening is high, to avoid a chaos bolt.
It’s hard but feasible.
EDIT: dont use felblade build against warlock free win for him if you use it.

you absolutely have no clue, you just saying it’s wrong.
dispelling eye of leotheras is trivial, super easy to play around
night elf is prob better than blood elf but faction switching isn’t really an option for some people
interrupting is situational
detaining lock on burst is good yea
darkness isn’t dispellable
mostly just missing the basics of dh which is “me run at healer do dam”

The win condition is to make less mistakes. For the lock to win they have to make significantly fewer mistakes than you. I’d alot it like this.
If you make 10 minor mistakes and 5 major mistakes the lock will probably win.
If the lock makes 5 minor mistakes and 3 major mistakes you will probably win.
How DON’T you win this match up? Stop a drink and literally don’t die… that’s it. Most mobile class in the game with a slew of defensives… Do you in here that thing use it potato.
root , stun , snare, horrify, fear , charm , stun from druid, cyclone, bash, rake…
if i’m able to even be mobile.
Pally can dispel.
now the paladin is in los and is now gettin bolted.
If your paladin can’t peek out for a dispel without getting bolts IDK what to tell you.

so the paladin gcd is around 1.3 seconds chaos bolt has a 0.7 second cast time with backdraft/traits,
paladin comes out for dispell hits it gets rooted instant cast, 1.3 second left until he can freedom get hit with bolt.
