just got a better monitor Samsung Odyssey G9 but i want to use it to it’s full potential but i honestly don’t know wth im doing in terms of adjusting game/monitor settings.
is there like any guides or videos to show someone like me who isn’t too tech savy in that department or know wth to switch on and off?
i tried earlier and it looks nicer then before but idk if i did everything correctly. i just did basic settings like switching gpu setting from auto to my actual gpu and switching monitor sizing but rest idk. i just kinda toyed with some color settings but nothing seemed to really change besides the FPS dropping from 60s which is normal for me in WoW to 40’s. this is in WoW settings not nvidia settings.
What are your full system specs again?
Is this your monitor?

You’re going to need a pretty beefy graphics card to drive that, it’s even wider than ultrawide QHD. It’s just shy of 4k.
yea thats the one.
my comp specs is
GPU- RTX 3080 Nvidia FE
CPU- AMD 5900x
Ram- balistix 3200 8gb x2
Mobo - Asus rog Dark Hero crosshair VIII
i mean i put everything all the way up in my wow settings but some settings i dont understand
Should be able to power that pretty well then, but some areas will just suck anyway
Follow some monitor calibration guides and then just set everything at 10 in wow, should be good

yea i was stuck in org for a while it updated the graphics a little but i was like “this it?” then i started the SL campaign since my new toon is 48 and damn… it look nice. ended up shutting game off though heard a funky sound but turned out to be the gpu fans running hard. then it stopped after i shut the game off.
i was trying to bump my graphics up really high though like i see some peoples screenshots in FB and their graphics looks super nice but idk if that is like some sort of addon or what. i ran cyberpunk on this pc with old monitor though graphics look really nice didnt test on this monitor though.
Your fans will do that especially in Bastion and Ardenweld, will settle down to normal just about anywhere else. With my 5700xt I can sit in Orggrimar and barely hear a thing but as soon as I hearth to Elysium Hold it sounds like it’s going to fly away.
Haven’t tried it since I undervolted it but settled it way down in Valheim.

My Rx 5700xt red devil doesn’t do that when I visit Elysium Hold on my paladin character, it’s all on default settings as WoW suggests
A lot of the 5700XTs had terrible cooling implementations. Yours is one of the premier ones.
If he has an MSI or an XFX, I would expect that behavior. My XFX does that.
Yeah it’s an MSI. Pretty much had to take what I could get my hands on at the time. I was upgrading from an R9 380.
