According to Blizzard’s post here is the information I found
PUZZLING CARTEL DINARS
Season 4 features a trio of broker vendors suspiciously skulking around the Great Vault. Each of these brokers has wares from one of the three Shadowlands raids. They will sell trinkets, weapons, and other special items from their respective raid. Each item will have the same price: a single Puzzling Cartel Dinar. You can obtain Puzzling Cartel Dinars by entering any Fated raid in Season 4 and completing the required 3-part questline. But there’s a catch: you will only be able to get three Puzzling Cartel Dinar for the entire season.
After spending your last Dinar, the brokers leave town and take their wares with them. Items sold by these vendors will be at the Season 4 Normal Fated item level range of 278-285, depending on the item.
It says the vendors sell gear beginning at “Normal” fated level. But you can do fated in LFR.
Does that mean the dinars you earn from LFR will qualify for normal fated level rewards from the fated vendors?
Their website says you can do fated raids in LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.
The only up side to doing fated raids is completing the quests for dinars as far as I know.
Wouldn’t make a lot of sense to have a fated raid that you can’t use to buy fated items.
My only confusion on the matter is that they say the lowest purchase point is “normal fated”
Although it makes sense now that I think about it because even doing heroic or mythic fated raids still nets you a dinar that can only be used to purchase normal quality stuff. You have to use extra items you get from heroic and mythic raids to upgrade them.
So probably yes you can buy normal fated gear with dinars from LFR. It’s a max of 3 per season anyway.
So if you raid LFR, you can buy items at 278-285 ilvl.
If you raid Mythic, you also buy items at 278-285 ilvl.
The difference in ilvl is because some of the end bosses have higher level gear than the rest of the bosses in the raid, not the difficulty you earned your Dinars in. Unless Blizzard suddenly changes or clarifies something, that is.
Yeah that’s what I just came to the realization of in my last reply to someone else. Because you have to get different items to upgrade your gear in Heroic and Mythic difficulties but Heroic and Mythic raid dinars still only net you a base item.
So probably they just “rounded up” and figured 3 dinar items per person from LFR wasn’t a big deal at “normal” ilvl versus making an entirely different vendor for LFR.
I’m sure it won’t be long now before someone makes a post to make slime cat purchaseable with dinars
Yep, haha! Plus with the fated world bosses dropping 285 in addition to fated LFR dropping 265, it makes sense that the dinar vendors would give around that same ilvl even for the most casual players (or alts!)
There was a bug yesterday were LFR was not giving credit for killing bosses but they have fixed it (In theory). Im not sure if those they didnt get credit had their status updated of have to do it again
