I am interested in how you started wow. Which expansion did you start?, horde or alliance? Did you have a great guild that eventually fell apart or is still together? Did you play because of friends? What’s your best wow experience you can remember?

Started playing Blizzard games Warcraft 1 Orcs and Humans. Played every one ever since. Thats how I got started.
Oh at a friends house. They had WC1 and I went there and played it a alot.

I started World of Warcraft around the Burning Crusade era. Though it was my first MMO and I was a wee lad at the time so I was horrible. I became interested as me older brother was playing it.
Started on Alliance, and never really left. First character if I recall was either a Gnome, or a Dwarf. Name wise I could not tell ya since I do not remember.
Best experience? Hmmm…
That be a tough one, but I think off the top of me head, it would have to be a tie between doing a personal journey of mine on this character that I did roleplay wise, and when me and some old friends who I once knew all grouped up together to obtain the Hivemind brain looking mount back in Battle For Azeroth.
For that was the expansion that I started to really get into World of Warcraft since before I did not have internet really, so for the years after that one test run back during the Burning Crusade, I stuck with single player games. All the way towards the very end of Legion where I decided to give World of Warcraft a real try.

I started in Legion as a Night Elf Druid, I wasn’t in a guild or anything because I was too scared. But I didn’t officially start till BFA because Legion didn’t really grab my interest at the time, but this time around, I decided I was going to go Horde, so I played as a yucky Blood Elf DK, and I joined a guild. One of the guild members helped me to learn how to play a DK but I decided, I didn’t like the play style so I went with a Warrior. And well, here I am.
The guild fell apart by the way due to drama.

I got my start during World of Warcraft Legion and since then I have been a massive supporter of this game and been playing a blood elf mage since then.

I started wow because i’d been playing runescape and kept seeing ads for wow, and it looked like a HD version of runescape. Ofc made a nelf female hunter
Getting my parents to drive me to best buy and having them buy the 2month time card was definitely challenging though

It was kinda similar to that one wow commercial. My now very ex brought up the idea of us playing together kinda as dating since we were long distance.
Enjoyed the game. Dumped the guy because he was a terrible boyfriend. Kept playing WoW
I started in wrath. Sometime after Ulduar was out. But before the tournament raid / dungeon was a thing.

My uncle would let me play on his account when he was off back in the day, and eventually, he quit and I inherited his account. I don’t remember the exact timeframe, but it was a few weeks before TBC came out. I started with a lock and would make a rogue later.
I guess he did something dumb at some point, though. It was stolen in Cata, so after repeated failures to reclaim it. I just kinda quit for awhile, but decided to make my own a bit into MoP.

Refugee from a game called Star Wars Galaxies. Started this around oh… When either Gurubashi or Blackwing Lair was released. one of those two. Started as Alliance Paladin. Left to join the Horde as an Orc Warrior, Actually I think I started as an Undead first then went Orc, don’t remember. Met a guild of people, they introduced me to Warcraft 3, got more context for WoW.
Pretty much been on and off since.

i “started” back when the game first came out. used to play on my mates accounts until i got my own account. got it in wod and have been playing my main (this toon) ever since

My uncle told my dad about the game and they got it on launch. My dad let make a character which was a tauren hunter but then when we realized I couldn’t play with my dad and uncle who were both dwarves I deleted that tauren and made a dwarf hunter. I was god awful at the game because I was 6 at the time. Eventually life happened and my dad quit WoW around the beginning of to middle of wrath (which was very traumatic to me in a very weird way that I find funny now) and since he payed for the account I couldn’t play anymore and we lost both his character and mine. I’ve had many different accounts throughout the years and have played in every single expansion while it was current content. I fully started back up in the tail end of BFA(corruption sucks) and when I found out that due to inactivity some characters have their names recycled into the system I very quickly remade my dwarf hunter and my dad’s dwarf warrior so that way I can “continue their legacy”

I just saw WoW as a new warcraft game. I had no idea what kind of game it was. I bought it for my brother for Christmas. He let me try it and then I got it for myself.

Warcraft Orcs ans Humans. Played all the RTS games. Played day 1 of open beta. I was there as soon as the servers went live. And have played straight through.
I started MMORPGS with Ultima Online, then Everquest. I played Everquest until World of Warcraft Launched.

First played the Warcraft RTS on the Playstation. Didn’t play Warcraft 3. Then started playing WoW in Dec 2005.
