Its kind of wild that we never received playable tuskarr in ALL of DF. this would have been the time to do it. After all, it kinda felt like playable tuskarr were being heavily teased at the start of dragonflight. Being that Blizz completely revamped the entire race, gave them female models, made old armor assets fit them, racial mounts, gave them an entire customizer, etc… and yet we NEVER saw them added as a race and it seems like everyone’s just forgotten about it??
Why are we settling for ugly dwarf recolors when we have playable tuskarr ready to go at the flip of a switch…
Blizzard is stoopid and thinks whatever they deliver is what players want.
It’s that meme of Principal Skinner being out of touch with the children, but assuming the children are in the wrong.
The answer nobody wants to hear: Earthen are easy, and there’s almost no work to be done to make them playable, because dwarves already exist in two flavors.
I think, due to how niche and underplayed some of the other allied races are, they are putting minimal effort on purpose for the most part, because they know the new race won’t be popular.
but thats just it tho… they’ve already done all the work for Tuskarr. They did it all at the start of DF. Even to the point of making old armor models rig up to them…
why would they go and recolor the dwarves that no one asked for instead of giving us what they already finished…
they already did this. I remember the old wowhead post that showed how the new Tuskarr model rigs were set up to support old armor models. You can go to the wowhead dressing room and dress a tuskarr up in old gear right now

Oh right. This is another thread complaining about a third dwarf race. Nevermind the 4 elven races, or the fact that dwarves haven’t had a spotlight since BfA.
Then people would turn around and complain about why we get ugly tuskarr race and not a prettier race.

also to your other points, you seem to forget that theres been a demand for playable tuskarr since wrath. no one asked for earthen dwarves…
dont get me wrong, i like dwarves, but if i had to choose between playing a new unique WoW race of nodamic walrus people or a third race of shiny dwarves… im gonna choose the walrus people… and id still choose the walrus people over a 16th elf race
The point is that the xpac is about the dragons. Introducing a non-draconic race would make zero sense. Imagine if MoP launched with no playable Pandaren. Instead its Gnolls, or Furbolgs.
It would be really cool, but I’m not holding my breath for it. There’s sooo many cool races in game that I wish we could be, like the Naga or the blue guys from SL.
Because Tuskarr live in icy water areas and not underground? If DF gave us dwarves, I could understand the argument. But TWW is an underground area. Were lucky we didnt get Neffen as an allied race.
I swear, we could do a poll on the forums asking to list our top 3 most wanted races to be added to WoW next expansion, and i’d be willing to bet all of my gold that Blizzard will manage to come up with something that wouldn’t have even broken our top 10.
