Went from this:
To this:
Not to take the wind out of any sails, but one would imagine that the top one is more exciting because it’s an action scene and not a post-action scene.
Also that the top one has several characters who are good, which helps pique interest.
Simple
The first was at the beginning where they were preparing for a full, fleshed out expansion.
and then whoops that all got dropped and everything railroaded into this “mastermind” behind EVERYTHING, the Jailor, yeah everything went downhill quick once it started rushing, kinda feels like how players described WoD.
Even though i played through WoD I dont really remember how it was at all.
I think the shock value was supposed to be “he was a construct?”…
didn’t shock much. No character depth, flat persona…yeah, best he was a robot really. As a real being…this would be even sadder.
Coming from great villains of late like “the father” and family from farcry…flat as hell. even first sub boss John seed was more impressive.
MY man…really wants you to say one word. Yes. Hell at times I was going…damn. this dude almost has me wanting to convert even lol.
Note not blaming voice actor. that much sound boarding going on he was probably going you know…they could have the janitor read these lines and it be same really. Ima jsut take this paycheck…and run, Suckers…
Having already done the Prototype Pantheon encounter kinda ruins the surprise, tho…
The expansion could have ended with us fighting Denathrius as the final boss of every raid and it would have been better than this by default.
My shock was “THAT’S IT?”
Guy is hyped up to be the master of puppets, controlling the Legion and stronger than Sergaras and he ends up like a pathetic Ken doll.
Don’t be so harsh on poor zoovaaly frens he did one job as a villain right he destroyed so much lore.
“The worst is yet to come”.
Oh, goodie. We’re still playing that card, are we? It’s not enough that we’ve beaten multiple Lovecraftian Old Gods, the WoW version of Satan, and now Death ITSELF, there has to be something BIGGER.
This is why I could never get into comics like Green Lantern, all the cosmic stuff gets so far removed from familiar life it stops having any impact. Hopefully going back towards dragon-related content will help.
Yep.
I put myself into the mind of this yet unseen evil.
I think to myself…
I see these 25(10 sometimes in the past) hero commander champion mall walkers.
they have done so much. they are a real threat. I have an army.
Light bulb…
make 25 100 people crew, hunt down each mall walker separately. Dead threats. Need to get them…start of expac. when their gear is crap thanks to scaling. So mnay other villians let these people get ilevel uber maximums. Not doing that…kill em in leveling greens.
Check that off the list, now back to universal domination planning content in knowing the 25 people who will ruin the plan are now dead.
the unseen evils never do this, ofc. for reasons…I guess.
Apparently there isn’t a twist either based off readings in the new Sylvanas book.
The in game story was just that bad
Why the book stuff is crap.
You all need to read the book to get it y’all. what Blizzard is saying.
Okay blizzard…for 2 expacs of this crap why don’t you give us all a free pdf copy lol.
I know of many entities that to see it all and truly understand it all require you must pay first.
Cults…and scam-ish sites. Cults don’t even give the kool-aid for free. You pay them first lol.
and some IT sites will go we have your answer oh seeker of IT knowledge. but we will not let google scraping bot see it. Pay us 25 a year and all shall be revealed. you then scan down 2 hits and go nope, got my answer for free.
The irony is green lantern run under geoff johns is more grounded in reality then WoW entire story rn in shadowlands
WoD had entire zones go missing before launch. The Orgrim Doomhammer story got cut hard and it was supposed to be prominent. Only two real raid tiers. “Trashcan” central hub instead of Karabor. The “selfie patch.”
Glorious in its leveling and content but all the rest of the content cut away for legion. One patch was solely the introduction of a selfie camera…
denathrius is hot obviously it’s better.
I absolutely detest that a great bulk of the so called story is gated behind books… that you have to buy… for like $35 per book. I mean it’s nice that the franchise is big enough that authors can write stories around it, but those stories should be self contained, non-essential to the plot of the game you are playing.
If you didn’t read that Vol’jin book, you wouldn’t know why a Human was seen attending Vol’jin’s funeral from a far. Although, one could argue that wasn’t a big plot point.
Without a book, you’d probably wouldn’t know what happened at Garrosh’s trial let alone know that there was one. Or that Vareesa conspired with her sister, Sylvanas to assassinate Garrosh (only to back out of the plan shortly before executing it) during the trial.
Please, Blizzard; tell the story of the expansion INGAME, don’t commission a book.
It comes down to the fact that they spent time developing Denathrius. We met him and then worked on taking him out. The Jailer was just always sitting off stage. We saw him a few times walking with Sylvanas, but that really was it. No character development at all. They had given up on their game so we got stuck with a… he’s a robot ending.
