One of my friends is in a raid on retail and I just feel like saying, “why are you playing that garbage when classic is about to release in less than 3 hours”.

It’s fine if people aren’t interested in classic the same way you aren’t interested in retail.
Why do people on both these and the classic forums feel such an impulse to talk crap about those with different interests than them.

the “community” in classic that i’ve seen so far from people posting on GD makes me not want to group up or join a guild in classic. the toxicity from some people is out of this world.

Forums in general are toxic. No matter what the content. Just a festering pit. I wouldn’t base either of the WoW communities on things that happen in GD lol. Most are disgruntled or bored.

Wait retail isn’t fairly dead already?
I mean, sure, you see alliance with 50+ players, and then you see horde with 50+ players in Nazjatar but apart from those “events” do you really see that many players?
I think in a whole day of running around I may see 30-40 players, and thats mostly because Tuesday mythic resets, apart from those I don’t see many.
If the queues are too insanely long ill make a few loops rare farming since so many people wont be on.
I’ll be in retail, for sure. As much as I’d like to jump in to Classic just to pollute queues and be part of launch day, I don’t have the patience to wait through the queue to get in tonight, and I’d rather get the 850 Mech daily done, and I need three more Mythics for the weekly quest. So, I’ll try to burn those out tonight as well.
If I get the Mech daily done, then tomorrow will put me over the edge and I should be able to get flying.

I very much believe that this forum is not representative of the classic community as a whole. I would guess a fairly small percentage of classic players actually regularly comment here.
I think that’s a forum issue. The trolls are out in force on both sides. During the stress test I met many fun people, so that’s who I’m expecting to see this week when I can play.
My guess is it will still be hopping around prime time, as many people won’t have the time to sit in Q’s.
