How could Blizzard top Order Halls?

I’m a Death Knight, so I may be bias… But, I greatly enjoyed the Death Knight Order Hall from Legion. It was superb and I miss it.

BFA didn’t have anything like it nor did SL (Covenants aren’t good…) and DF just has nothing to fill that void.

Wasnt the DK order hall just send you to WotLK DK ziggurat?

Its was literally the one they did the least work for.

Not to dunk on order halls. I thought they were a cool concept.

Its a shame we dont get to go back to them for anything.

To this day, Legion questing and their Order Halls are some of the best content ever made in WoW imo.

Made every class feel special, like they had a major role in the downfall of Sargeras.

Covenants in SL felt like a really bad go at a lite version of it, but the restrictions (as usual) ruined it along with a displaced story that really didn’t feel like WoW at all.

Thank you for reminding I still need to finish a few classes!

Class specific content is cool -artefact weapons being anything more than a transmog

Unless you’re a female… Made a female human Paladin and got Ashbringer and…

Her arms clips through it everytime she walks.

Killed Ashbringer for me.

I do miss class halls. In a way, it reminds me of SWTOR, in that each class there has its own story to experience. I feel I should experience each class hall, but since Legion came out, I’ve only done the mage and rogue halls. I’ll get to the hunter hall on this character finally. So far (of the 2 I’ve done, ha) I like the rogue the best.

They can’t unless if they start implementing class/spec storylines throughout every expansion. It honestly needs to be a core part of the game instead of an expansion feature.

I don’t understand why people think the DK orderhall was so great.

So here we are again being the Lich King’s lackey, even though my mind was freed from him along time ago. Being Horde I don’t know anything about Bolvar beyond the fact he used to lead the Alliance and he volunteered to wear the hat.

So now I’m running around the world, doing all his chores, when one day he tells me to attack Light’s Hope. Yeah… I was there the last time it happened and the real Lich King got his butt kicked. The Lich King that had the magical hat, sword and armor couldn’t take down a small army of paladins and merchants with a huge army of Scourge.

But whatever, I don’t have a choice because Blizzard decided that my mind is no longer freed and I have to do as I’m told.

So I storm the paladin base, killing who knows how many paladins, to raise one paladin. So I kill paladins to raise a paladin…? Whatever, I’m not allowed to question because I’m Scourge again. Oh and there’s also the fact that Tirion saved my life, twice, and my character would never turn this man into the very thing he hated and fought against but OH WELL. We get to his body and once again the Light witch slaps us back into reality.

Much logic, great writing.

Sky’s the limit for priests and rogues.

Class-specific journeys would be an awesome addition if the continued trend of alt-friendliness continues. Would be a good excuse to revisit order halls. Would much rather have a more compelling reason to play my alts than “did you do enough to unlock the vault this week?” or “you need to grind rep for that recipe you want”. It could even make use of old zones/instances via expanding upon lore for your classes ala time walking. Taking part in old battles for a reason instead of just queueing up for random old content for badges would be really cool. If we were to do something along the lines of powering up artifact weapons again, make branches in the weapon powers specific to eras you have to visit and participate in. There’s a lot of possibilities with how all of it could be done in meaningful ways.

Yup, I think it’d be a good time to bring back something similar.

Currently, my alts are used for holiday dungeon runs. That’s it. I DO plan to level some alts up to max so that I can have all the profs ready to utilize, but I haven’t had a great urge to do that yet. Having new class-specific quests/stories/halls would kick me into alt high gear.

I did like that about swtor. Shame it ended up as it did.

When is the last time you played it?

I’ve been back for a year and it’s pretty fun.

What happened to it?

It just dropped off so much with tying all stories into one and long content droughts.

Its UI is a mess too.

I couldn’t play it anymore as WoW and FF14 have a way better UI.

Recently went back to Legion for some hunter chievos, and going back to the Trueshot Lodge made me super sentimental.
They wouldn’t even have to bring in fandangled new content in DF, just factor in something simple to take us back to those Legion order halls.

I never liked the UI after playing WoW first. I think I would have been ok with it if I never played WoW, though. Also, the gameplay felt like a poor WoW clone. Well, not really too poor, but to me, WoW was smoother.

Anyway, I never could commit to it long enough to get through a single class story. I’ve booted it up maybe 3-4 times over the years and then always quit and come back to WoW. Since I’m a huge Star Wars fan, maybe I’ll try and give it another go someday.

BioWare put all their eggs into the story aspect of SWTOR so when you got to 50 there wasn’t much to do.

However, that’s all been fixed in the last 10 years.

I have no idea what this person is talking about. It has a better UI than WoW. What you can do with WoW’s UI now is what SWTOR has been able to do with theirs for close to 10 years.

No way it isn’t.

The second bar doesn’t even start with ctrl+ or shift+ and you can’t move things around to the same extent as WoW or FF14.

It also feels clunky and far less responsive and looks extremely dated.

And you cheap barstids still haven’t paid the cleaning bill.
