I think we all know why warlocks lost metamorphosis
Yea pretty much this. It was taken away from warlocks and given to Demon Hunters.
Edit: Warlocks are not Necromancers thanks to dk’s as well lol

Metamorphosis never really made a whole lot of sense on the warlock in the first place, and it was shoehorned into a spec that had an entirely different lore and fantasy to it for multiple expansions just to allow a few players access to their DH fantasy… but with Legion having added DHs officially, there was zero reason left to keep metamorphosis on demonology warlocks and they could finally return the spec to the lore and fantasy it was always meant to be designed around.

Well it’s not the Demon Hunters fault. It’s more of the dev’s fault. They Shoehorned in Metamorphosis got them used to playing it. Then when Legion came out yanked it away from the warlocks and gave it to the Demon Hunters. 
Really only the Orc’s. And mayyyybe Trolls.
Every other race’s Warlocks came from Mages.
Speaking of which. I’LL ALSO NEVER FORGIVE DEATH KNIGHTS FOR STEALING MORTAL COIL.
And i still stand by my statement. I don’t use MORTAL COIL. I’m a frost DK that’s for unholy and i think blood.
It’s been so long that I’ve stopped calling it Death Coil.
Playing Classic and getting Death Coil at 42 was like seeing a long lost friend back from the dead.
