How come it's so quiet here?

Hello, so I am pretty new to the DH community, I just started this character last week cause I never got around to leveling one and figured I’d try one out.

Every time I make a new character I frequent the forums of that class for some time till I get the hang of it. I’ve noticed though that the DH forums aren’t very active compared to my other classes like warrior, pally, druid, dk.

I’m just wondering… why is that? Is it because the class is more complete than most? Or because there isn’t a quote unquote “good ol days” because of how new they are? Wow population says DH is the 4th most common class.

TLDR: why isn’t the DH forums more active?
I know it’s a dumb thing to ask, but I’m legit curious.

I think its mainly because the class is in a decent spot, especially Havoc. The main forum activity is complaining, and if there isn’t a lot to complain about, then there isn’t a lot to post about lol. Most activity I see seems to revolve around Vengeance, usually around high end raiding, I guess it has some scaling issues there or something, though I dont play that spec much tbh.

Forget decent, “strong”. The strongest specs have almost no posts because they have nothing to complain about. People don’t come to the forums when they’re happily on top.

It’s also the holidays, and we are at the bitter end of the first raid tier. Havoc is in a solid place and is one of the most fun specs to play imo, and vengeance is softer than we’d like but viable, does a lot of damage, and also fun to play.

I’m sure once the tier opens and we see where everyone shakes out on warcraftlogs, there will be plenty of kvetching. Hooray.

Whats their to post about? Havoc doesnt have a complex rotation so no need to post there. Their strong in all content so no need to cry in that area.

Vengeance is solid in all areas of content aswell. We’re not top tier but we’re not bottom tier either.

That makes sense. DH is in a good spot, but not OP enough that other classes come on these class forums to complain. For example: on the rogue forums there are many “zomg nurrf rogues! 100-0 in a stun lock÷! Raaaah!”

I like that. It means DH, at least havoc, won’t be man handled by blizzard devs for a while. Looks like I made the right choice of class :sunglasses:
