I’m guessing it was because nobody can navigate Undercity? Especially with how royally borked the phasing has been ever since BfA. Or maybe dump him in beef town? Tauren can look after his reindeer.

Well there is story actually about this for Horde. The goblins set up in the most commercial city of the Horde to push the capitalist side of Winter’s Veil. Meanwhile some tauren are upset they rob the event of it’s spirit.
We all know is in Org,Great Father Winter is an Orc.

Horde Santa is there for Orcs and none of that makes sense but it’s a place of mudhuts, spikes and i heard they eat rocks so it’s just wierd Horde stuff.

I think it’s to do with both GFW being a Dwarf, because it made the most sense, and that back in Vanilla Org and IF were the two main hubs, not Org and SW.

Alliance has a better designed Winter Veil area, we just get a orc dressed up as father winter under a tree.
I guess they couldn’t do anything creative because we’re a barbarian faction.
I’m fine with it in Orgrimmar.

Winter’s Veil is historically a Dwarven holiday, that’s why.
It’s pretty new for the Horde to celebrate, and Orgrimmar is a relatively new city, so it makes sense.
Imo, Undercity would also make sense for it, since the humans of Lordaeron likely celebrated it too back when they were Alliance and alive lol.

Because Greatfather Winter shows himself as an Orc or a Dwarf. He does not enjoy rotting corpses. They also don’t have beards.
