How can you stand Nazjatar?

Or however it is you spell that empty fish tank zone.

After having the anti gravity pack in the Mechagon zone remind me of how much I love flying, I’ve decided to grit my teeth and slog through getting flying for both Legion and BFA. Will have Legion within a few days. Already have rustbolt resistance into revered.

However…the empty fish tank is just frustrating beyond belief for me.

  1. Ridiculous terrain
  2. SURPRISE, you suddenly get swarmed by mobs
  3. Feels way more spread out than it should be

And worst of all…I complete a handful of world quests and dailies…and it feels like my rep bar has hardly moved. I don’t expect 500 rep per…but FIFTY???

I’m honestly asking…how do YOU deal with that place? Maybe I’m not looking at it the right way, maybe if someone points out something I haven’t noticed yet, it’ll click for me…

But right now, I’m looking at ignoring it unless the emissary is up, or when the WQ rep bonus event starts up in a couple of weeks. Even if it means I have to wait on BfA flying. (Which really won’t be all THAT bad, I still have champions of Azeroth and those damn turtles to rep grind, and I have plenty of AR toons to level…)

I didn’t like it the first time through.

Flying really changes things for you though.

I can’t stand it. That’s why I almost never go there, it’s not worth it.

I can’t stand it. I got flying after a week and a half and then got bored a few days later and quit. I’ll eventually finish the slog through both of these zones, with flying it hopefully won’t be as bad.

Yeah, I’m sure it is 100x better with a flyer. And I do give credit to blizz that they at least allow you to fly there and in Mechagon…cough Argus cough

But after I get the rep, I doubt I’m setting foot in it again aside from some quick gearing when I get other toons to 120.

Don’t give up! It is a slog, but it’s worth it!

IDK, how I get past my hatred of any questing zone I’m forced to do, murdering everything even if it would be possible to roll through on a mount. Catharsis can be powerful.

I want to say it’s one of the worst zones they’ve made, both from an aesthetic and quest design standpoint.

Expected more voidy stuff, expected more important things than “pick crap off the ground so we can eat it.”

Nazjatar WQs suck for sure. The rep can level decently, but it’s scattered through a bunch of small things. Leveling bodyguards gives it and they have occasional bonus quests, the weekly Mardivas quest rewards 500, the event bosses give 150 daily. And pet battles especially give a ton if you have teams to counter them. It gets there! Slowly but surely.

Truly serious question - don’t need a step by step guide, etc, but how after only a week and a half? I’m sure that it can be done, but I’m just NOT seeing my rep bar jump to any appreciable degree except for yesterday when I did the emissary.

Pop every WQ, daily and rare?

Took 6 days for me to get flying.

Maybe I’m a freak, but I love Nazjatar … I love anything with a sea theme either below it or above it! the place is very easy once you understand the mobs and daily quests

Protip: Flying will make this zone better for you and even more fun!

I can’t. I rarely go even though there’s still plenty of things I can still collect there. And I have flying. It’s better, but still meh.

I still go back for WQs. There is also an achievement for doing the Runelocked chests I recently learned about.

Wait until your are flying in that fish bowl and all of a sudden you drop from the sky because you flew into a no fly area and have to spend 38 mins fighting your way out or ressin at the GY.

Don’t get overwhelmed. It does take a bit, but you have emissaries every so often. Get a contract for Nazjatar. Make sure you level up your follower cause they give you rep every time they level. Sometimes you’ll find items to give to followers, those give rep as well.

I buckled down and got it done, just a little bit each day. And now I’m able to level up my alts with flight.

Did all of the WQs every day, only did the rares when I happened to be close enough, which honestly couldn’t have been more than 10 of them. I only actually used the rep scroll for the Mechagon guys, since that rep took slightly longer, but you could use one of those. Like someone said, there’s a small handful of quests that give you bigger chunks. I think sometimes mobs will rarely drop certain items you can give to your bodyguard for 500 or something. I expected it to take way longer because like you said, it feels like the bar hardly moves at all.

Easy. I just don’t go there at all

Believe me I wish I could - but I REALLY miss flying especially with alts.

Never will be crazy about the pathfinder system but it beats no flying, especially when you are a bit of an alt-ho like I am. Goal is to have all available heritage armors before the next xpac drops…then maybe start a guild named “The Heritage Club”. Dress code required.

I liked it much better before flying. Dont get me wrong, now that I know what im doing flying is clearly the way to go.

What I mean is, I loved the zone. I loved learning the layout. Exploring all the little odd places. Building my mental map with landmarks and etc.

It felt very rewarding to successfully plan out my routes to tackle my dailys as effeciently as possible.

Its just not the same with flying. Again, the sense of wonder and exploration are long gone anyway. Flying is the way to go. But the zone loses a little bit of its magic when you can bypass all the challenging aspects so easily.

It makes me greatful for pathfinder. Otherwise id have missed all of that.
