Neutral organizations are just stupid…because none of them barely qualify as being neutral by any stretch of the word.
(Story Forum is still based on PvE content btw)

Most people who participate in the story forums probably favor PvE over PvP but to say that it’s based on PvE content ignores the fact that there are a hundred faction posts for every one non-faction post.
Still doesn’t change the fact the story forum is for discussing the lore…which is PvE based…like it’s not a hard concept to grasp
Your concept is a non-sequitur.
Lore is neither PVP or PVE based, however, it should buttress and support existing game modes, and be tailored to work with those game modes.
PVE is not the only method of playing this game, and it never has been. To say otherwise is to allow your bias to run roughshod over your ability to evaluate the game.
I’ve already brought up a fix for Horde (and by extension, Alliance) with regard to proper agency during a story beat/arc.
I think those are good principles, certainly, but as you saw previously, there was some discussion over the appropriateness of the use of neutral characters. We were digging a little more into that.
That’s why I specifically stated the following:
3rd party or neutral entities should only accent content not drive it.
Which brings up the Bolvar example discussed previously. Is the Ebon Blade accenting content, or driving it right now? Especially considering that Bolvar is still involved and is still getting content.
9.0 accenting
9.1 driving
So Alliance should get the killing blow on:
I want 9.1 to drop, waiting for it is sooooo boring.
I tried the PTR but I fell through the ground in the Maw and now I’m just getting disconnected anytime I log in.
It’s always going to bug me that Vol’jin couldn’t even cameo a little bit for some phase of Garrosh’s fight. He made a big deal in the new troll starting zone about coming out of the shadows to “piece Garrosh’s black heart” and then the next expansion features a literal old god heart and there was 0 follow through on that line.
Instead, Vol’jin ends up being entirely worthless and accomplished nothing in the previous patch except exhibiting fierce body odor in the alliance player’s presence.
Honestly Garrosh’s death shouldn’t have been a duel but a street fight with multiple faction leaders pummeling and then kicking him in the street before Varian spits on him as he walks away.
Kind of like Office Space printer scene.
9.1 does look interesting for sure. I been lvling my blood elf in Zandalar to pass the time
I’ve been leveling up a hunter, with all the cool hunter only perks coming up, seems like a good idea to get one to max level.
I would like to try some other covenants but all my classes tell me to go Ardenweald. this will be my third character in Ardenweald >.<
For my BE hunter, I’m going Maldraxxus, since I’m super casual and do mainly WQs and the occasional heroic dungeon, even though Ardenweald does have the best abilities and Soul Binds.
But I enjoy being different and going against what’s popular or most efficient
I really don’t like covenants because it restricts player fun, we should be able to choose a covenant we wants based on t-mog or esthetics or story not because it’s required for endgame content.
Blizzard really sucks the fun out of just enjoying this game as a casual player
Yeah. Sadly they do that a lot. It’s because they forget…a lot that a large portion of their player base is casual or super casual. The majority of us aren’t running mythic dungeons or doing any sort of raiding.
It feels like there should be more cinematics. They just posted a hiring update on twitter last month they are hiring new cinematic staff. I wonder if the pandemic created a delay in that aspect of the game. BfA spoiled us with cinematics.
I’m not so sure juggling like 3 to 4 core systems and being unable to balance them really is for the Hardcore players either. Especially since most class rotations don’t feel very fleshed out or complete without certain covie abilities. I will certainly miss Primordial Wave once SLs is over. It feels really good to use, its dumb its borrowed power. Especially when I get those free procs. Shotgun blasting Lavebursts in a row is just … so cool.
That being said, I got luckier than most for Covenants. Shamans and Goblins don’t really “fit” anywhere easily in the standard four. So I went with my BiS, and then got to enjoy a pretty solid covenant campaign and charming characters. Plus, on a certain level Maldraxxus really plays up the Shaman’s long neglected Spirit and Decay domains, and I figured keeping balance between 5 houses isn’t too much different from keeping balance between 4 elemental planes. Goblin Alchemist also really fits that zone well too! Mad science everywhere!
