They obvious dont care about the forum post. If anything this is a blowoff / containment board. Do we need more youtube videos / social media post making them look bad? Do we need to rent a billboard shaming them?
Been playing on-and-off since 2009. BG is my favorite part of the game. Have done over 1,500 bgs across different toons. Currently have 4x max level toons just for BGs.
With the current state of pre-made there is zero reason to queue for BGs unless you just feel like having a really bad time and paying for it.
I 100% agree with you but blizzard would rather watch pvp die then fix it. They don’t care it’s all about money now, if wow dies, they will just make something else a cash grab.
Best you can do is keep talking about it. Report in-game when you see premades.
send screenshots and emails to hacks team.
send suggestion and report as bugs.
spam the hell out of blizz. getting streamer attention.
But it must be done in a professional way. Don’t be out there screaming and crying its not fair. Give the facts.
Right now epic bgs are completely ruined by premades, so just avoid them. Don’t queue up, or if you see it’s a premade, just leave.
Regular bg is fine. Occasionally, you’ll run into some premade groups syncing their queues, but it’s not that bad. You can still put up a decent fight, unlike in Epic BGs where there’s just no fun at all.
And please play Blitz. Blitz is fun, it’s fantastic. Level up multiple alts and place them in different rating brackets. If you want some casual games, play a low MMR alt. If you’re in the mood for a bit more pressure, play your high-rated toon. Blitz is like an enhanced random bg, and as a fan of random bg, I absolutely love it.
This is probably the best low effort solution. Makes me think of kids. If little Hamfist habitually enters a peer group and smashes whatever the others are working on, the group begins to want nothing to do with little Hamfist. It’s a natural consequence of his actions that hopefully steers him in a more prosocial direction.
As it stands, if nothing changes, all that will be left are the premades and they don’t seem interested in facing each other; which is unfortunate, because that might be pretty…epic.
A higher-effort solution mentioned here by others, though one that would require time and energy from Blizz (low level of confidence given this is a niche), would be a rated bracket rewarding the best organized groups. Premades are often pretty clever, and clearly they put in the effort, so maybe some form of recognition would reduce the degen.
i miss the old days of AV where people fought for objectives and it was close and everyone was trying. why would anyone want to zone into a curb stomp?
blizz must somehow be involved in the que synch communities. maybe some devs belong to them. or somehow they make money off the que synchers existing. otherwise blizz would have stomped this right out of existence
it really should be. ebg is the most populated of pvp. its where a lot of the beginners start off. i know i did i loved av and strand and wg fights. when you have people ruining the reputation of part of your game…it just cant be good.
I think if we continue to push, we’ll see change. I’ll be making another big thread in GD soon that touches on some more aspects of the issue. Hopefully that will help gather some more support.
