If you’re prot you always have revenge available. The same can’t be said of overpower. I’m not even sure OP has improved overpower.
Stay in Defensive Stance if you want to use Revenge. Shame though that you can’t Charge in Defensive Stance until WotLK. Break out the Bow for pulling & make Bloodrage your friend.
Easy. It’s always up.
With tactical mastery you can charge and then swap stances immediatly no prob
Literally the only reason I can think of is if you’re Deep Prot, and are specced for Imp Revenge, in some weird PvP Control build, not being particularly threatening, but more of a nuisance that people try to cringe away from as they run by midfield.
So, all in all, pretty terrible idea yea.
You do realize that you’re uber gimping yourself by about 40% reduced threat output by tanking in battle stance.
Battle stance threat modifier: -20%
Defensive stance threat modofier: +30%
0.8 / 1.3 = Your threat is 61.5% of what it would otherwise be in Defensive
Right? I’m out of battle stance immediately after charging. It’s either Defensive or Beserker – either you are trying to get them to stick to you or are trying to kill them faster. Overpower isn’t gonna help with either task, so why be in Battle stance?
As for OP look for the huge white letters “DODGE” that spawn over your head. They are in the default UI (may have to toggle on combat text?) If you aren’t looking at that part of the screen all the time, then you may want to change up your UI to help you. I use a HUD mod, others use weakauras, to keep the most relevant info in the middle of the screen. If you aren’t looking at the mobs and the action part of the screen, then you aren’t tanking very well.
Yeah, the only use for battle stance while tanking is for charge, sweeping strikes, mocking blow (thunder clap isn’t worth the rage). You don’t want to stay in battle for more than the amount of time than it takes to switch to use SS/MB and switch back.
0.800/1.495 if you have defiance. Defensive stance is so good for threat it generates more aggro at Vael than a nonstop execute spam.
try listening for dodges, blocks, and parries with your ears
or looking for dodges, blocks, and parries with your eyes
Yes there’s an audio clue, but it’s kind of subtle, and most people are playing music or voice chat or both and I doubt that’s so great of a tip. However there is a big old visual that’s hard to miss unless you are staring at your bars.
whyd you type it again if its in the title
