Hi, noob question but I hit level 50 now and I was forced to quit from Timewalking campaign. If I have known it earlier, I would have turned off my xp. I was expecting to level up from Classic to Cataclysm by doing all quests and earning achievements that I haven’t earned and buy Shadowlands later. I know I should have googled about it earlier but its too late for me right now. I mean I finally hit level 50 and chromie timewalking is no more. So if I want to start my Northrend and Cata storyline, where could I pick those starting quests up? Kinda new to WoW and sry for my bad English. Many thanks in advance.

If you want to quest in those other areas, you need to right click on your minimap and tick the “Trivial Quests” box. This will illuminate the quest markers for low-level content and you can quest to your heart’s content through all of the other expansion stories.
You will not, however, get any meaningful XP for most of it.

Thanks for the reply. I already turned on Trival Quests. And I am seeing greyed low level quests. Northrend is OK since I can just travel there and start the queests there but like if I want to start Cata storyline, I don’t know which NPC offer the quest which start the Cata storyline. I am really confused tho. Blizzard shouldn’t force players to quit the timewalking even they hit level 50 imo.

I agree 100%. Turn off XP or whatever, Blizz, but let us complete our storyline.
Where were you in the Classic Vanilla stuff when you hit 50? What zone?
If things work as they should, you should be able to approach the Draenei quest giver where all the Cataclysm zone portals appear. He should have a quest for you to go to the Maelstrom. That’s where it starts.
I started out as a novice human hunter in Northshire valley and earned Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms. I turned off my XP at level 39 and finished all my Classic EK. And I tuned my XP back on, went to Chromie and started Outland with the level scaling stuffs and this is where i hit level 50 and she pulled me out of the campaign lol.

You could also check the Hero Board in SW to see if the starting quests are still on there. When I was working on Loremaster, I ended up just flying to each zone and finding the opening quest for that zone. I started in the North and worked my way south until I hit all zones. Wowhead and the Achievement helped guide me.
Yeah I did check and Vashj’ir is still on Hero Board alongside with Draenor and Brokenshore . I was just a little bit confused at first when all timewalking campaign disappeared as soon as I hit 50 haha.

It is a bummer that they kick you out of the Chromie time at 50. They should still give you the option of completing it… just like any other low level quests, it just wouldn’t be worth xp. But they want to get you to Shadowlands so they won’t let you stay in there.
