Hi! I´d like to know how can i lower my ping.
I´m from Argentina, playing on a NA server at 190-200 ms now (Bleeding Hollow). I know that is supposed to affect ms, but i´ve also tried playing in Ragnaros or Quel´thalas, which are Latin American servers, and my ping stays the same. I also logged on a Brasilian server, and there i even got around 240ms.
I´m also using wifi connection, but when i plugged my pc with ethernet directly from the modem the response reduced to around 170-180 ms, which ain´t significant.
I´ve heard of people playing at around 40-50 ms (in NA), so that´s what i´d be aiming for (or at least 100).
Is it possible for me being here in Argentina?
Could anyone tell me how?

The servers that are labeled as LA are still housed in the US so there’s only so much you can do. You can get a good internet connection and make sure you have the hardware (router and NIC) to support it but that’s about it.
You would need to run a trace route from your PC to wow servers to determine where your latency is getting hit.
From Argentina it may just not be possible to lower the ping (especially to that level), however I was able to get sub 100ms ping to my US Servers from India and the UK.
If your latency starts with your ISP you could try contacting or changing your ISP, if it’s within your network you could try a different router, if it’s more then a few hops past your ISP there is a significant chance regardless of local ISP you might not be able to see any benefit within your country.
