I was wondering the same.
So I went to the website and started reading.
Of note, WarcraftLogs is a third-party site. It’s independent from Blizzard and WoW, just as if you had made your own website (people just happen to use it).
Basically as long as you or someone in your raid has advanced combat log on and logs your raids, then uploads the log file to warcraft logs, information for your character in that raid will be available there.
Sometimes, you’ll have to select the character you want to view in your character selector. I think this is something to do with updating the BattleNet API cache with your character.

What kind of logs you talking about? There are some people standing on pretty big logs in Ashenvale all the time for example.
