Hi! I’ve been wanting to do raiding for a while, and when I got the Vault of the Incarnates quest I thought I’d join and see what raiding is like. I’ve applied to several different groups (all recently made, not too full, etc) but do not get invited into any of them. I’m a lvl 70 BM Hunter, and my total ilvl as of writing this is 352, using gear I’ve gotten from rares, quests, and other drops from DF, and I try to equip better gear as soon as I get it. I do know that there are Guilds that do regular raids but I’m a much more relaxed player and would feel bad joining a Guild for one raid and then not contributing anything further.
Is there anything I can do so that I can be accepted into this raid? I appreciate any help I get on this.
you can do LFR next week, or keep applying to normals later in the week, or join a guild as a non-raider. Or form your own group.
You aren’t being invited because everyone else is like 370 from mythic 0’s. You probably should’ve done those both weeks. But yes, the best way to raid is join a guild.
At this point it’s all based on ilvl, next week it’ll be based on how many bosses you’ve killed this week. If you aren’t competitive in either of those areas your best bet would be to lead your own raid. Right now at 350 ilvl, it looks like you haven’t taken any effort into your character as most peoples alts are a much higher ilvl than that by doing m0’s, world events like the weekly and super rares, and using the crafting system. Not trying to beat you up, just telling you how it looks when you apply. When you create a group, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about as droves of people will sign up and you’ll get to pick people by ilvl and later on by experience.
Ilvl is going to be even more inflated now that m+ has released. I’ve only gotten 1 piece of gear of the last 13 dungeons I’ve run that was an upgrade unfortunately but some have been much luckier than I. You’ll see people who spam m+ with closer to a 390+ ilvl by the end of the week.
