Create a healer spec for hunters called “Field Medic” let the army of hunters who currently dislike the state of their class respec and viola a 100% influx of new healers.

There’s nothing worse than getting zugzuged on by melee. There’s no time to use utility because I’m always one global from death.
For every healing spec there’s a hybrid DPS that’s much easier to gain rating on.

Also buffing all healers to the level of Rdruid is a good start.

don’t allow anyone below 2.1 in 3s to q for solo shuffle
if you’re 2.1 in 3s you have to have at least some kind of basic positioning/trading knowledge

few things, remove super damp, remove can’t face mirror healer, make it all 6v6 instead of 1v1 for healers rating and mmr go and have every toon there going off of every toon there. make leavers lose mmr and these are just things that doesn’t touch any balance sh!t either. so…
A few things:
- buff underperforming healers
- remove restrictions on mirror match healer queues
- hefty penalties for leaving matches, CR and MMR should drop as if you lost all 6 games, and everyone else should be rewarded per match played
Right now the worst things are the leavers and queue times. When there is hundreds queuing but you have to wait 40 mins for a queue you know something is wrong
the solution is that if 2 healers don’t queue within 2 minutes, it does a 2v2 instead.
couple this with solo shuffle just being 1 round total, and if it is a 3s game, it picks 2 range and 2 melee, or 4 range or 4 melee.
It could probably also mirror healers in this format.
The pain point of shuffle is waiting 40+ minutes for a match only to get a gross healer imbalance or 1 range 3 melee / 3 range 1 melee.
This isn’t a solution at all.

sure it is, the problem is 100% that as the MMR net widens, to find a 1200 game it will pair a 1500 healer against a 900 healer because they “average” to 1200. The 900 goes 0-6 and “hates healing.”
Give healers longer queues until they find narrow MMR, not filling in games for DPS that have been waiting for 30 minutes.
Another obvious solution is to ONLY mirror healers, it’s too much of a pressure point to get mismatched healers who synergize better with the combos of DPS that are in the group. This is why certain healers are dominating over others, they generally work better than others with all teams/against all teams. The healers that rely on certain comps to work suffer as a result.
The question of how to generally “increase” healers in solo shuffle is presuming a flawed premise that all healers have the same skillcap and work similarly. they don’t.
Gotta consider potential malicious stuff. Like, imagine if low mmr was just bots or people with unbound specs queuing up to collect sacks of gold. Sure, queues would pop, but match quality would be in shambles.
