How big or large will Quel’thalas be in Midnight?

How many acres and or square miles will the new Quel’thalas be? Versus the current version that is outdated?

big enough to “wow” you.

see what I did there.

Should be the same size unless Exodar is updated or all Alliance have full access to the city. (Like Horde with the Darnassus replacement)

The same size, unless the goblins got involved with their shredders.

it will be 16x the size it is now.

I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more old world updates throughout the new trilogy. My guess is that they may give us an NPC to speak to to teleport you to the old instanced TBC areas, while the rest of the world will probably get that whole chunk revamped with new geography added, to really expand that part of the world.

I can’t remember if they had already said what the full plans are outside of where the expansion will take place and what’s going on, but I love the thought of the Sunwell being captured at the end of TWW and Quel’thalas being put under siege, and for the 12.0 content to be us fighting our way north through Lordaeron and a restored, expanded Quel’thalas, perhaps an expanded Zul’Aman (it’d be SO cool to have a full forest troll zone the size of something like Zul’drak) and to have some more Amani lore tossed in, with the first raid concluding with us making an attempt to recapture a new SWP.

Actually I’d probably wager cash money that we’ll see Amani troll as an allied race to be introduced in Midnight. If it’s exclusive to Horde and they decide to balance the races out by giving Alliance high elf, that’ll be the day

Still, who knows. We’ve got some time to speculate. Either way, I’m curious to see where things go.

Well if they repair the strip in the middle where the dead zone runs through the city that would be additional space.

How big and large do you like it?

I think it’s reasonable to believe that when they redo the zones they may make them larger.

We’re in a new age of zone design. If they were to keep the zones at their original size as introduced in the Burning Crusade then they’d have to update more zones to give us the same amount of space we’ve been getting with the new zone designs seen in Dragonflight and the War Within.

4 zones that could make up the base expansion are the Isle of Quel’danas, Eversong Wood, the Ghostlands and Zul’Aman. Silvermoon could be the capital or the first end game zone.

There’s so much that could happen with Midnight it’s a little frustrating knowing that it’s coming because now we just sit and wait to work through the War Within before we start hearing anything more about Midnight. Announcing the 3 expansions together was both a blessing and a curse.

Oof.

You’d think the elves have been through enough with the invasion of Arthas and the scourge!

True, but I think it’d be a great way to give the EK elves more stuff. I know we’ve got loads of elf and elf-adjacent content over the recent years, but it feels like it’s been awhile since we’ve done anything up with the Quel’thalas region.

We had the whole entire Nightborn storyline and the introduction of the void elves.
Naz’jatar and plenty of Night Elf stuff in BfA
More Night Elf stuff in Shadowlands
…and more night elf stuff in Dragonflight.

Huh. Come to think of it, some blood elf characters have been doing stuff, but I don’t think they’ve really had much surrounding them since MoP and what involvement they had in the 7.1 content. It’ll be nice to have some more love given to one of the most iconic races in the game.

Humans are getting a lot of Arathi lore in TWW, and we’ve had plenty of lore added surrounding the old human nations, like Kul Tiras and even Gilneas (yeah I know they’re worgen now, but they still have a history with humankind).
Dwarves will likely get some more development due to the introduction of the Earthen.
Gnomes had the spotlight in Mechagon (arguably shared with goblins sorta)
Draenei and LF draenei got lots of love in Legion, and again recently with the wonderful heritage quest.
Night Elves had what was mentioned previously
and Worgen had their whole saga with Genn and reclaiming Gilneas recently.

Aaaaaaaand on the Horde…

Orcs had MoP and WoD (you can argue further with Cata if you wanted)
The Undead had TONS between Legion through Shadowlands
Tauren have had a pretty good track record with getting their lore expanded now and then, from introducing the Taunka, Yuangol, and the Highmountain.
Trolls had their bout with Zandalar in BfA.

Poor pandaren though, oof. Remix has been fun, but it’d be nice to see more story stuff for them. Goblins can always use more love as the best race in the game.

Did they ever actually say they were revamping the old zones?

Provide sources because although there is a lot of implication, I’ve never actually seen any confirmation. I’m assuming I’ve just missed it so share.

Deal, we blow up Silvermoon.

In return the Blood Elves will get a new city (In a TWW zone) that Alliance have full access to.

…maybe the void will pull amani or black empire ruins from the depths? :8ball::robot:

I’m worried the void will tempt amani with power and revenge.

But Amani also helped defeat the old gods in the ancient times, worried they are gonna get villain batted.

It talks about midnight and mentions revamp to quel thalas as a whole.

Rumor has it that Azeroth will just be one big Quel’thalas in Midnight.

I’m not sure how you expect us to know the future, we aren’t the devs. We know as much as you do.

It will be Quel’thalas-sized.

No, of course not. The forums have just taken it as a given so that they can be disappointed when Blizz doesn’t do what they “promised” later.

There’s a good chance it’ll be similar to the Zandalari and Zul when we consider the Hex Lord. Might not return the same guy but his remaining knowledge can still be dangerous. :8ball::robot:

…such as what would happen if you imbue a troll with the phoenix god, Al’ar? :microscope::robot:
