Compared to those who take a month or so to reach 60? How will the early 60s gain an advantage?

They wont have much if any. An argument can be made for being one of the first to 60 actually hindering your gameplay.
A lot more players are going to take a month or two to get 60.
Financially, probably an “okay” advantage.
They can do quests for money now, so they should be able to play the AH a little easier to finance their level 60 training+mount.
As far as progression? Zero advantage. They have to wait for others to hit 60 before they can actually do anything.

That, the only real thing the first to 60 can do is:

Or they could make a gear set, such as leatherworking if a hunter. The AH won’t really support them buying some of the items, so they’d have to farm it all themselves. They could then use that skill to also sell lower items on the AH, but again there won’t be much of a buying economy for the stuff yet.
Can’t see much ability to play the AH yet either, since the economy won’t be there.
Grind the silvers for their 1 K epic mount. That is basically the main thing they can do, while waiting for others to catch up.
The best time to play Vanilla was actually when:

EVERYONE had at least one level 60.

People were at least on their first alt, with that level 60 having money for the alt. That was when the economy boomed. So this would be more like 3 plus months in, more like six.
A pretty substantial one being that they farmed longer and have in essence an unlimited Gold amount. While you are trying to find your Aoe grind spots against the crowded people the 60’s already done that and stacked everything and mailed mats to their Alt banks.
Furthermore they have the gold to buy items now that are cheaply listed because there isn’t much gold in the economy. A really nice twink item now is maybe what 2-5 gold because no one has this gold to blow on this item. You can buy it wait a month and relist it for 30 or 40+ gold after people finally have gold to spend from attaining their mounts.
So what advantage? Being first is always an advantage and stating otherwise would be greatly underestimating it.

Advantage for what? Classic is a museum piece, everyone will eventually get everything they want. It isn’t going anywhere.

They have zero competition on gathering and farming. I’d say that’s a pretty big advantage
Gear wise, probably not much. However, gold wise, could be giant. Farming as much as you want without any competition or any ganking is a huge advantage.
They’ll have a big chance of getting killed by level 50s and marked by shame.
The smartest thing a new 60 can do is farm Devilsaurs and picking LW/skinning. Stock up on those pre raid BiS gloves/pants
