I think there is a 0.00000001% chance (being generous) ANY of that is real.
I also HIGHLY question how “valuable” Diablo 4 is when you compare it to a literal free money generator like Hearthstone. Last I heard/read, Hearthstone was, by far, the most profitable of the IP’s because it takes the fewest actual devs and also has a very lucrative income model selling purely digital card packs and mini expansions.

There is a lot of that going around in 2021. A lot.
I would say this is just some guy’s dream. Blizzard has around 28m active users. It would be are really bad business decision to throw 28m active users into the trash. World of Warcraft is estimated to have 3m active users per day (FF14 has 2m), so again, that wouldn’t be a good business decision.
This is not to say that changes need to be made. It is very clear that blizzard has lost their way a little bit and needs to inject some new blood and passion into their organization. The new leadership will want to show their stuff, so we’ll probably see the results of this change in late 2022/early 2023.

“Leaks” from accounts with words like “leaker” or reference former employment with a game development studio are usually fake.
A while back there was a similar fake leaker claiming to be a former Bethesda dev and said some ridiculous stuff like Bethesda Game Studios not knowing where Elder Scrolls VI was going to be set until 2018, that their photogrammetry exceeds terabytes of data, and that they somehow made the teaser trailer in less than a month and that nothing from the teaser trailer will be in TES VI.
Obviously a fake leak for TES VI because it’s pretty much guaranteed that TES VI’s setting of Hammerfell (and possibly High Rock?) was decided way back during Oblivion’s development (the early rough drafts for Skyrim were presumably made during Oblivion if the references to the Akaviri mean anything). These games are loosely planned WAY far in advance, like Oblivion was already planned to be Elder Scrolls IV back when The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard was made.
This “Blizzard Leak” sounds like yet another fake leak from weird people who like to pose as devs and other insiders and make stuff up for whatever reason.
I’m like 99.9% sure it’s fake.

Even if it was, they wouldn’t put WoW on “maintenance” mode just now when its successor is probably something like 7 years away from having to rebuild an entire studio to begin with.
