I for one think they should dissolve, I want the rumors to be true. They need to go. Need a new team, fresh ideas, hopefully, actual gamers.

Unless development is STILL in a standstill over the lawsuit stuff (which would be insane mismanagement), I really don’t think a 9.3 is unreasonable. 9.1 was only like 2 months late. It was unprecedented for an x.1 patch, but a manageable amount of time in the context of a 2-year expansion cycle. Especially if we get a patch addressing the Scourge on Azeroth or something, since they wouldn’t be nearly as bottlenecked with art if they’re going that route.

We don’t even have 9.1.5 on the PTR yet. I don’t see a 9.3 happening unless they plan to extend the expansion cycle or cut a raid tier really short, IDK.

Also they just opened hiring for a bunch of people for WoW. That’s not something they do for a game going into maintenance mode.

Looks extremely untrue for sure. Why would there be a spinoff of Hearthstone? Why would Diablo need a PvP focused game? They could just implement into the newer title than be by itself.

Its really hard to believe any of this.

Have to be very hard pressed to make Hearthstone spinoff different and why on mobile? I could just play Hearthstone, on Mobile
 As for Diablo PvP, whether it is just PvP in general or focused as Battle Royale, all that means is Activision shooting themselves in the foot because that’s what CoD: Warzone is for. Another reason why that leak is unlikely. If it isn’t Battle Royale, then what is a Diablo PvP that already has been established?

This is why I thought on this and it just doesn’t seem very likely at all. Just matter of time I suppose.

Definitely reads like fanfic.

10.0 is scrapped and tossed into Shadowlands as 9.3 despite having no connection and presumably no conclusion because it’s the content from an x.0 patch? Yeah, no, not happening.

New Warcraft MMO taking heavy inspiration from FFXIV? Also silly. FFXIV is literally based on Cataclysm (maybe a bit of MoP, too, depending on development timeframe). They have said as much on record, and more recently described WoW as the game they’re “trying to be”. A Warcraft MMO taking heavy inspiration from FFXIV is a Warcraft MMO taking heavy inspiration from itself. Doesn’t make sense. The games are too similar when it comes to actual content and gameplay designs.

Overwatch 2 being canceled, while not impossible, is currently unlikely. They’ve put out too much information for it to be early enough to justify scrapping, and they’ve literally said development is going smoothly and they’ve passed an important milestone like
 a few weeks ago. Unless something new happens, worst case scenario is probably just it being delayed, which wouldn’t be surprising given how long its already taken.

And ofc the whole scrapping of Blizzard entirely, just, isn’t going to happen.

x.5 patches are incredibly minor in comparison to x.0 patches. I’m not overly concerned with the status of them. It’s mostly quest additions tbh. And 9.1 has only been out like a month.

It’s been closer to two months. But that’s still months of PTR before it arrives after it hits it. We’re not going to get 9.2 soon after. We’re probably looking at 9.2 late spring of 2022 at the earliest, assuming the delta variant doesn’t hit them the way the first strain did.

If they plan on giving us a patch 9.3, then it either won’t come with a raid tier or we’ll likely see a very late 10.0 and a long expansion cycle.

The days of 3-4 month patch windows are behind us, I think.

If such decisions were being pondered, it would have been discussed with majority share holders, board members at least.
