I suspect each of the PW:S buffing skills will get nerfed a bit (which compounds multiplicative) and Twinsight get nerfed to 2 extra bolts.
Buff other specs and leave it alone IMO. Oracle barrier is the first time Disc has felt fun to me since the atonement re-work/butchering of oldschool Disc.

Same tbh, havent enjoyed disc since old school cata atonement and this is pretty fun.Very worried they will over nerf and I will move back my old main ( I dont really want to ). Assuming nerfs are coming hopefully they target things like Lenience or shift power around from the shields first before straight up nerfing things.

They should just buff up pres/holy priest/shamans/druids a bit, the gap between disc and the rest isnt large at all. If nerfs have to happen hit lenience, possibly even move 10% PW shield absorb into smite/penanace damage. Wouldnt surprise me if they remove the ability for PW: shield to crit, or removed PW shield from Inner Focus even.

Knowing Blizzard, nerfed hard. Its a shame, disc has been catching back to back nerfs since prepatch before the season started. Whatever they do will probably wreck Oracle’s identity. Nice of them to also put voidweaver in the graveyard for raid in the time leading up to now.
I fully expect them to be nerfed out of the meta because healers are SO upset about them doing well in M+. I’m a fan of oracle and have been, but it’s clearing top keys and people are being waaaaay too loud about it.
In reality they just need a nerf to the weal+twinsight synergy. It’s insanely strong, and is the majority of what is making the PW:S casts so big because it’s multiplicative on all the other bonuses.
It’s very likely to receive significant cuts in the oracle tree though because they don’t want to nerf voidweaver more (voidweaver’s also not in the grave - it’s just in the backseat because Oracle is driving for now).
I don’t see anyone complaining at all

Most WoW community content creators are talking about oracle disc to death. Most high level M+ players are having their ears talked off about Oracle disc. Most top healers have had input in how it’s overpowered, etc.

Content creators literally are what makes meta a thing because people just follow what them or wowhead/icyveins (Most content creators are writers in these webs) says.

Ellesmere has been hugely vocal, it was mentioned on several pod casts like the bench. Oracle has had a lot of air time this week. Nerfs are definitely coming, its just in what form they will take
You are delusional if you think bigger and better Life Cocoon on a 6 second cd isn’t the absolute top target for nerfs atm.
You would have to give every other healer the equivalent of that in order to balance the game for all of them, and obviously that’s a horrendously bad idea.
Yea I think you can’t solution this problem by just buffing the other healers.
Disc priest right now can just cheese a lot of one shot mechanics that are suppose to kill u instantly with no effort at all. And it’s not like ppl barely survive, they literally get 0 dmg from those.
The nerfs this time are 100% justified

Stop with the ridiculousness.
The highest key cleared is a 19, which is disc priest. Hpally, MW, resto sham/druid have all cleared 18s. Disc priest is only one key level above the rest. If they could effortlessly cheese everything they would be many key levels ahead.
I play a disc priest in keys and I assure you people can die and keys can deplete. Yes, I’m not as good as these 19s disc, but I know how to play the spec. Just like any key, the whole group matters and how well the rest of the group plays and what they bring to help handle various mechanics.
Disc might be slightly overturned but it’s not running away from the pack. There’s always going to be a top dog in games like this. If devs over nerf disc, which they might do reading some of this forum nonsense, then all the top keys will just be another class such as resto shaman or hpally.
Disc hasn’t always been the top healer. Don’t know why people can’t share the love and let them have some fun for a couple seasons…

I haven’t tried Disc since MoP. Was thinking about giving it a whirl now, but with all attention it’s getting, seems like it might be a bad time to enjoy something just to see Blizz wreck it. Boo.
They won’t let that stop them from pumping their narrative. When disc gets nerfed and MW is on top or Rdruid they’ll just shift their focus to the next idiot surface level observation for the next top heals (Unless they play it themselves of course). i CaN’T beLieVe MW hEalS so MuCh and DoEs so MuCh DamAge with LigHtnIng. Oh, I get that. I guess it’s more of a “oh, healers are mostly balanced except for this” situation but “often” Holy Priest issues get dismissed as “they can reroll Disc” as of that’s a valid excuse for imbalance.

It’s not lmao. There are lots of clips showing how Disc priests in their rotation can just cheese a lot of stuff that should one shot you lol.
This is not something bad. Meta should shift between seasons.
Discipline already dominated season 1, it’s fine if they are tuned down to B tier for once and letting other healers to dominate (Looking at holy priest that has been neglected for like EXPANSIONS)
