Do most groups clear it?
I am going to try tonight or tomorrow night.
Wondering what I am getting myself into lol.

This is probably one of the easiest seasons for the normal raid difficulty in a few expansions.
So your odds are good
I cleared it without knowing any of the raid mechanics at all, just followed DBM and whatever WA was suggested. Ez pz
Most bosses just fall over in less than 1 minute on Normal difficulty, you’ll be fine.
Apart from Fyrakk where you’ll have seed-doers drooling on their keyboard in P3 and healers forgetting that the boss requires them to press their dispel button every 8 seconds, it’s a joke.
From what I’ve seen, everyone’s been clearing normal since week 1. Very easy, mechanics aren’t punishing at all, and at this point everyone has a boatload of gear. Even heroic version is pretty easy at this point. Most encounters have half the raid messing up or completely ignoring mechanics and we still get kills.
The raid itself is easy enough, mostly.
However, you’re pugging. And without having previously cleared it and your lower ilvl - relative to all the people 470+ who are also pugging alongside of you - you will likely not have access to the better quality groups. So be prepared to enter learning groups and have to learn alongside with them.
Or you could go resto which would open a lot of doors for you.
normal is a meme right now.
You would think the dispell part would be simple, but even after making a direct plea for them to do so TWICE after wipes in LFR last week, I was still the only healer doing so every cooldown.
Normal is fairly accessible and enjoyable. If you’re nervous, grab a thunderbuddy and try to get into a group together.
I think there are discords and communities for casual players and first-timers wanting to dip their toes into content, so looking into one of those may help with the pug queue mentally of needing AOTC 480 ilvl 30 years WoW experience
Is clearly doable, some bosses are more annoying but mechanically speaking is not hard at all.
I pugged it this week because my raid group is skipping this week (we raid on Mondays) and it went very smooth, raid was full of warriors and paladins (only two DKs though) looking for a shot at the legendary.
If you ever encounter a bad pug in Normal Amirdrassil get the hell outta that group yesterday because N Amir is even easier than N Aberrus
Yeah… Normal is a lot easier to mess up in P3, but honestly right now LFR feels harder because of the lack of dispels in P1. I did it on my spriest, grabbed MD for it, but with that 2 minute CD, it only helps so much. Hopefully as the weeks go by, it goes smoother.
You should come to the learning run I help lead on Saturday afternoons, 3PM EST.
Done it twice in a pug since I usually just raid with my guild. It was a comfortable clear both times and these were in not particularly selective groups.
I would love to. Can you add me?

Or is there a discord?
Getting into the raid is harder than actually clearing it.
It’s pretty easy.
Also most people are geared from doing mythic+ which is somehow even easier by a lot.
That makes the boss fight time pretty short.
Yeah, there’s a discord, discord.gg/wownoob
We run every almost Saturday, 3PM EST, we’ve been full clearing as of late, all we ask is that you hop into the call to be able to explanations (when/if necessary).
