How bad is BFA?

It’s actually not that bad, but it’s lacking in stuff to do. It feels like they’re encouraging you to level alts as to compensate for the lack of content.

Thematically I like it a lot. I just want KT Humans and the wait is pretty “meh.”

BFA itself content wise isn’t that terrible, but 8 years or so of bad system design has caught up with the game as a whole.

Its not as bad as people are making it out to be, but it still needs some help in key areas.

It could always be better, but that can be said about just about anything.

Except potatoes. They are always awesome, no matter how you cook them.

not good enough

This game is an MMO, an MMO with different areas of content. The moment Blizzard gives an upgrade to one side of the community, the rest will complain. Of course WoW has its problems, but they’re made out to be way worse than they are.

It’s ok honestly, it’s no class hall quest line or Suramar. I heard PvP is doing good but I am not pushing that till season 2. Raids seem solid especially the next one.

But main thing if azerite gear is kinda bla.

The new changes seem interesting though

I don’t level alts, but wpvp is a blast

My biggest issue is I’ve been sitting on this race change for my druid to kul tiran for like 6-8 months lol. Whenever their last service sale right before summer was I believe. I really have enjoyed the story and I need to play through the horde side and finish their story up, I know I can watch it on youtube, but I like to be in it lol.

I think the biggest thing they missed it having a middle raid tier like the Trial of Valor to help skim the time over would have been great. I understand crucible of storms is supposed to fill that, but if you compared timeline to timeline to legion, the pacing is a lot slower for sure.

That being said, despite all the anger right now, I’ve really enjoyed being able to pvp again at my leisure in the world, I like the way everything looks as usual and I’m really enjoying my boomy. That being said, I hope the new stuff comes quick and they make heroic warfront or harder expeditions to work on.

Scalloped potatoes are so good. Just recently had some homemade for dinner.

Not great, and in a lot of its systems it’s a large downgrade from Legion.

Classes are crap and largely boring, HoA is a far inferior and more frustrating systems compared to artifacts, IE’s being the only way to effectively farm AP is crap, Warfronts are boring cesspools of AFKers, dungeons aren’t nearly as fan as past expansions and are just unnecessarily filled to the brim with trash.

Will say raid design seems to continue to be amazing, but baring that the xpac isn’t fun.

It isn’t bad. It’s gorgeous. It’s different. They’ve tried a few new systems that aren’t working very well (azerite, for example), and they’re working on a fix in future patches. There are some class balance issues (especially with elemental shamans, apparently…I’m resto, so I have no skin in that game), and they’ve begun to work them through and smooth them out in 8.1 with more work being slated for later patches. Typical early expansion stuff.

Unless you’re going to jump in at the highest level of endgame play, you’ll have nothing to be upset over.

The dungeons are great. The world is gorgeous. The quest chains are fantastic in several places. There are easy, medium, and hard ways to get gear. The opening Uldir raid is really well done and lore-appropriate.

The professions are lackluster to put it mildly. Professions are my biggest disappointment this xpac. They’re really bare-bones, and there’s not much to get excited about with them.

World PvP has been reinvigorated in my experience, despite the constant complaining on forums. I’ve been in more impromptu raid-on-raid, group-on group, and one-on-one WPvP encounters than I’ve seen since Vanilla, and if you’re a world PvP person…this is your expansion, man. Get in here!

BGs have seen little to no innovation, but the Brawls are interesting and fun. The allied races have mixed reception. I think they’re a little bland and boring, but loads of people are enjoying them tremendously. your mileage may vary.

All in all, I’m really enjoying BfA. Lots of us are. Get in here, give it a month sub, and see what you think.

It has some leaks in the roof, but the same can and has been said about every expansion. Problems can still be fixed up, it’s not that bad. And I think they’re keen on trying to improve it too.

But according to GD the entire house is below sea level and we’re all drowning in doom. There are valid issues yes, but doomsayers tend to exaggerate it.

They are. Lot of work though and since my wife does most of the cooking I downplay how much I enjoy them so she doesn’t feel like she has to make them more often.

Here is a screen shot of a recipe from my crock pot recipe book. I thought maybe you may wanna share it w/ your wife.

Easy to make, and if you follow that recipe exactly it’s so good, house guests be like OMG

You can do 35 different versions of the same thing to get more artifact poi… errr… Azerite points. Coupled with the most lackluster story since Kung Fu Panda, you have Legion and BfA.

Blizzard has never been good at story writing.

I think it has major issues and that if they tried dang hard, they could right the ship. One of the major problems is Azerite gear and how it intertwines with everything else in the expansion BUT with the changes coming in 8.2, they have pretty much admitted without actually saying it that it is a trash system. That fact alone gives me some hope for the future.

Objectively speaking, its my least favorite in terms of expansions. I hate Azerite and want to light it on fire, but that being said I am still finding things I enjoy so for the time being I’m staying.

Well not being given up on like they did WoD so.
