Flasks are hundreds of gold, bots are farming lotus 24/7, and players buying gold left and right are inflating the rest of the economy. You cannot farm 100 gold an hour unless you’re swiping. Blizzard, do something, please.

Id recommend farming for gold. Since gdkp is banned thats about the only move you got . Otherwise join a casual guild that doesn’t require them.
There are farms in classic that are over 100g/hour. There’s a tool called the internet that shows you how. Fun fact, as prices go up, the things you farm increase your own gold per hour.

I think in order to raid, you need either a 10 man, 20 man, or 40 man group.
And some decent gear.
Flasks for AQ40 and Naxx unless all people are that bad at the game.

You only need flasks for Naxx, AQ40 usually the tanks flask but it’s paid for by the guild/person leading the raid.
The other consumables are mostly pretty cheap and you shouldn’t need more than a couple of each for each raid.
I use more consumables than most people, specifically mana potions (100g/5 on my server). But to me, using more consumables makes the game more ‘fun’ in the sense you get to contribute and do more.
Beyond that, chugging consumables is very much an ‘end game’ thing once you have all your BiS gear etc. Like there was an elemental Shaman I used to raid with who would unironically use ~3,000 gold worth of flasks and consumables in a single Naxx raid.
The original poster has a very good point. Why are flasks in the game? To be used when raiding. Not every one can walk in to a raid and one shot every boss while naked and eating Doritos. Some of us actually need the stuff the Dev’s have added to make raiding easier. Love it or hate it flasks are part of what you should be using every raid unless YOU feel it’s not needed for YOU!

I know this is gonna drive certain people insane but Flasks are not mandatory for raiding unless you’re trying to Speedrun or Pink/Orange Parse.
You have to be a whole new level of bad if just -need- Flasks to down bosses, Flasks do exist to make it easier for certain but not having them hardly prevents you from being able to full clear.
those farms weren’t intended to have 10 people per layer doing the same thing. 100g per hour is not possible on nightslayer atm just based on the sheer volume of people per layer doing every farm you think you know of, they all do to and so do the bots.

its easily 100g a raid in non-flask consumeables right now too, and thats assuming you dont wipe, its basically nearly 100g per wipe atm especially if you wipe on a gfppp fight.
mongoose is 20g, food buff 2g, gfpp is 20g, jujus are 5g a pop, nature resist 10g, frost resist 10g, shadow resist 10g, faps 3g, restorative 10g… list goes on … these are all things you SHOULD be bringing to raids, and in many cases things that you are required to bring to raid and will get checked in logs.

listen, its in the game, its clearly never been this expensive in ANY VERSION OF THE GAME EVER… Not even during covid on 1 layer incendius were flasks 500 gold.
I dont care what you “need” or dont need.
Its absurd you cant find these herbs in the wild and play the game how you like. Endless blue parsers in here crying “omg you don’t need it” yo shush ill play the game how i want.
You wanna increase the servers by 30x the players how about increase the herbs by 30x as well. Its not ridiculous ask.

The overall economy in the game is completely screwed, i can’t farm arcane crystals to get my pally mount because i can’t find any rich thorium veins no matter what time i log in, i can’t buy arcane cystals to get my pally mount because 6 of them plus the cost of the quests is more than a normal mount would cost, not that i could do that anyways cause i can’t farm anything to sell to make gold.
Nightslayer is such a mess right now and we’re probably not going to see any communication from the devs until they finish pumping out the next sod patch. Disappointing honestly.
