I have not killed azuregos ever. I have camped him for hours and saw him spawn multiple times but every time has ended in failure. Horde on my server have a coalition of all their guilds working together and since they have more people than the alliance there is no way for us to really make any progress or have a chance at it. Can anyone help me kill azuregos?

What does it matter? Lets just humor the idea that your faction is going to start winning this world boss race over the horde. Let me clue you in to something:
You aren’t getting any azuregos loot anyway.
Even when on the winning side (my faction always gets the tag btw), it is still raid tag specific. As in, if you aren’t part of the raid that got the tag, you aren’t loot eligible anyway.
Okay fine, I will double humor you and say, by some magic, YOUR raid got the tag. Well guess what? He drops TWO pieces of loot! Now surely you’ve participates in enough raids in classic by now to know that even being loot eligible does nothing to guarantee you a piece of gear.
In other words: DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT. There is no difference to killing him and not killing him.

On my realm. The only time the horde kills azuregos is at 4 am realm time. Otherwise it’s 90% chance Alliance get it.

We have an alliance guild on our server that kills Azuregos A LOT. They have the 24 hour watch with the ghost alts, the level 20 warlocks with summoning and the whole 9 yards, If us horde manage to get 22 together at 7am like we did last week, they wait until we have him to 3% health to come in and steal the tag. This happened the other day. I was solo healing at the end and there the alliance guild went and stole it. They’ve killed like 75% of the world bosses or something. Horde has only gotten Kazzak 2-3 times and Azuregos like maybe 30%-40% of the time. This alliance guild takes almost every kill.
Our alliance to horde pop is 60% ally to 40% horde and we are a pvp server.

boo hoo to you, 95% of the realms are majority horde population, you are the minority being on an ally overpopualted realm.
95% of everyone else here on alliance has not even seen a world boss let alone been able to attempt it because of the 3-4x horde population that has a monopoly on them all.

The answer to “How do I do something PvE without the opposing faction being able to block me?” is always, “Play on a non-PvP realm.”

Yeh Horde on Herod used to own world bosses, but we were only a 2-guild coalition at the time. Alliance started their own coalition of about 15 guilds now it’s about 200+ alliance at kazzak, and maybe 40-80 for azuregos. We’ve stopped because there’s no sense in horde becoming a zerg coalition and split loot among that many players. Good luck.
We had only 10 people up (and yes some where running back) they wiped us. We couldn’t run back and dot him up and take him back with our numbers. It’s always the same tug of war when horde do get to try Azuregos and we are often wiped by the mass numbers of alliance. They were able to do it at 3%, don’t ask me how but they did.
Edit YEP it’s 7:13am server and there they are, running back and forth over my corpse while I try to rez. Azuregos is up again. I do like the PVP though.
Update #2, horde got Azuregos to 50%, ally wiped us. I need to go to work so it’s time to stop.
Update #3 after 2 hours of intense fighting Somehow horde got Azuregos this morning. The response from the guild leader of the alliance side was that it is good for horde to get the kill once in awhile for server health. Hey I won’t argue with that.
I’m actually glad to be on a server with decent world pvp.
The favor is returned with kazzak, it’s alot easier for you to get a raid together and kill him before horde even show up.

World bosses are better suited for faction wide cooperation not fraction wide cooperation… Looks like the Alliance on your server aren’t working together. If they were then server balance wouldn’t matter. Try a different server like Herod, same situation but better results.
Azuregos is Horde favored due to location. Say both sides scouts see it at the same time. Unless you literally summon your entire raid there, Horde raid will arrive from Org and kill it before the Alliance raid even touches ground in Azshara.
Same with Kazzak favoring Alliance.
If you want azuregos, you gotta park summon bots, or pray for Horde ineptitude.
I am Horde, on your server… and I’ve never killed Azuregos either. Stop whining.
There’s a coalition on a lot of servers - in many cases horde and alliance work together and have a mafia of sorts. Depends on your server.
On DD and Grobb it’s the ally guilds that control World Dragons. All depends on where you are.
Technically on World Bosses specifically being on a PvE realm is not an answer, and in fact just opens you up to attacks you can’t retaliate against.
For example, on Stalagg when we fight over World Bosses, we’re fighting each other 100% of the time, because there are no Alliance left. This effectively makes it a PvE server.
Fights over Azuregos still devolve into Warrior trains running in to taunt Azuregos off a cliff to reset him when an opposing guild gets a tag.
Fights over Kazzak still devolve into trains of level 1 alts running into him non-stop to feed him health infinitely until the tagging team wipes. (Among other tactics).
Right now it’s just Horde we’re contending with. I can’t imagine if we had to deal with Alliance doing the same thing and not being able to just kill them out right on a PvE server.

This is how it should be. PvP servers should have absolute bloodbaths over these bosses.
Honestly, when I heard one of the hardcore Alliance guilds was killing world bosses on a server with a heavy Horde population imbalance, I felt a much stronger fanboy urge than I ever do hearing about killing Rag in 20s or whatever we’re down to.
I never killed him as horde…Not sure what the point is. most servers have a few guilds farming them.
