Idk, unless somebody is working all day on proffessions I dont see how somebody is making that much without owning some markets.
Easy way is to just sell mats. Like mining/herbing/skinning. Check your auction house and see what is selling good/bad.
Do the farms you don’t mind or like. Honestly as long as it’s positive profit it’s just a matter of time investment at that point. As well as judging your sales if stuff is in demand or not. Then you reiterate based on feedback. If stuff isn’t selling within two days then you readjust.
Sometimes some weekly quests or certain stuff makes certain items more in demand. Like on Tuesdays the price of fish goes up due to everyone wanting to hand in 20 fish for the rep buff for example.

When a patch drops, you have to find the right items and then flip those items to the people who want them. My gold is from raid boes and the new crafting patterns. I don’t know why, but people are paying over a mil for the raid boe rings, 2m for heroic, 3m for heroic and a socket. Lots of server transferring going on but it’s clearly paid off.
You should be collecting stuff to flip for the next patch. The whites and greys are going to become transmoggable, so go out and find extremely low drop rate white and greys and sell them for high prices. You’ll either get paid or get undercut by the lemmings.
exporting BOEs was easy gold when I partook in it, but requires third party assistance to do so though. (transferring gold between different realms via wowmarket.)
I splurged on server transfers because they’re on sale.
right now its herbalism with emphasis on cringebark and titan touched elemental overloads. I loop azure span until overload is off cooldown then spin around valdrakken til i find a titan herb. On my server writhebark is 150ish apiece and orders are 250ish. Depending on finesse procs i can sometimes get 15 writhe in one go. Early on in the expansion i made a solid 5m gold selling contracts for valdrakken and consortium reputation but that market was a one time thing.
Like price differential between BOEs is sometimes 6x (cheapest realm vs most expensive realm.) You can usually sell for 3x.

Well thats what i meant. Maybe shuffling was the wrong term. Yea raiding guilds pay up at this time. It’ll probably level out in a month or so when they are more geared.
Boes remained strong throughout all of Shadowlands, you just have to be patient sometimes. I’m still selling mythic boes from the last raid tier for anywhere from 300k to 700k. No one can do the raids anymore and no one wants to do fated, so they’re in an exclusive state until we get more gear. Hell, even Legion boes are still making a decent chunk of money.
Thats interesting. Id never do it, but i think its funny how for dedicated gold makers. The game is completely different, and it doesnt matter where you get the items that sell, that takes priority.
I used to be more like this but i have a ton of gold, and bnet balance so i can just relax more now.
It’s the only fun thing to do in the game. Raiding is wiping for 4 hrs 3 times a week, which is a dumb use of time. Pvp is fun but it’s in a horrible state and is only getting worse. M+ is repeating the same 8 dungeons for 5+ months. I don’t see how anyone can enjoy any of what the game has to offer unless they’re in a top guild.
The same way I usually do, just slow and steady from doing transmog runs farming old content. Occasionally I get a piece that sells very well on the auction house that I already know, which is a nice bonus.
