Do you like the new expansion?
Do you like the new expansion more than shadowlands?
I haven’t played in months and I didn’t buy the new expansion this time but still have some game time left and I’m just wondering how you guys feel about wow in general at this point?

I think it’s great.
Yes. There’s less I have to do in order to have a baseline character ready for endgame content. Though I do miss Callings and daily WQs. In an expansion where I don’t have to keep up with world content in order to keep up, I’d still like the option of new things every day.
I think it’s great. But it’s WoW. So if you’re expecting some radical changes to fundamental gameplay like some people on the forums, you will be disappointed.

Basically what Prettiness above said but I do like the WQs twice weekly instead of every day.
DF is kind of a break from the murderhobo game we’ve been playing for years and that’s a nice break.
SL’s had some good stuff in it but DF is very much a more positive expac in a variety of ways so that’s an improvement, imo.

Very much.
Too soon to say. It does need more stewards.

It’s ok though nothing really new, barely makes a 6/10, 5/10 and lower as we’re drip fed updates.
It’s an improvement but not much. Loot is too stringent.
As MMORPG its only passable for its immensity but once something better comes along she’s finished.
Maintenance windows are my favorite part, I feel like Blizzard is really giving us a lot of them for our money.
It’s better than BfA and SL for sure. I’m enjoying it for the most part. Getting a little tired of trying to play a turret caster with all the obnoxious move mechanics in m+/raid.
I am not a fan of this xpac . Dragon riding sucks it buggy and I just do not like it . Professions suck because there tied to renown . Getting renown is more like a full time job if you are going to do it . To get renown up to where it helps you out witch is like lvl 15 you need do every quest in game every day . This xpac is very non alt friendly . All the above is why I am a raid logger and spend most time in blizzs messed up wrath .
It was fun at first, but now it just feels soulless.
Certainly.
That’s a very weird way to word that, but again, the game feels rather soulless. Like EA made it or something instead of Blizzard.
loving the expansion. this is infinitely better than shadowlands simply because no torghast grinding
Do “I” like the new expansion?
It’s been a grind, although mostly enjoyable for me. However, I’ve not done any raids & very few dungeons that were associated with quest story lines (necessary for tier gear?). I’m basically a semi-solo player with Alts & the the rep grind in the beginning can be time consuming. If you’re mostly focus on raids & dungeons, the suggestion is teaming up with a guild, although I really can’t be certain, since I don’t do such game-play currently.
SL vs DF
They differ personally to me & both have their up & downs, I have enjoyed & been frustrated with them equally.
Long time player but have taken a few years-long breaks. Played BC and Wrath, skipped Cata, played MoP and WoD then skipped BoA and Shadowlands. Came back a few weeks ago and finally getting back up to speed.
Really enjoying the expansion and the changes that have happened since I last played. Lots of quality-of-life improvements (Bind on account stuff, group finding, etc.) and end game is not as linear and boring anymore. You can choose your own path a bit more now.
Worth giving a shot imo!
May the winds be at your back.
The expansion itself is pretty good, if HPals weren’t an absolute dumpster fire in PvP I’d be having a great time.
I like how non committal the XPac is, I don’t have any chores to do, I can just log in and play with my buddies whenever I want.

I am liking it better than Shadowlands but less than BFA and Legion. I know a lot of people didn’t like BFA but I enjoyed the zones individually and didn’t care about the Azerite rat race. The BFA story could have been put together better as Horde and Alliance versions of the war were completely different.

Dragonflight is the best expansion since Mists of Pandaria.

The new expansion is a master work from the 2 master works from before.
The idea was shape wow to a public that likes this subpar work, and shoo away anyone who would dislike it. “Master plan”.
And worked. Now the game selects for the people who likes the crap they do, and they can say most people likes the crap they do at the same time.
Meh. It’s just okay so far.
I like that there isn’t extensive chores I HAVE to do… I mean there is some, but they’re not mandatory if you’re not a solo player… If you’re a solo player those chores are really the only way to gear.
That said, I decided going into this expansion that the story was going to suck because of who was writing it, and they haven’t even met that expectation… But overall yes I am enjoying myself.
I don’t have to log in every day, and I don’t feel like I’m horribly behind if I can only log in on the weekend for a few hours.
I like WoD more than I like Shadowlands.
