Handwaving the negative effects of locking a piece of player convenience behind a $90 price tag as it not being deep is funny.
Nobody can stop you from doing what you want, but you’re encouraging blizzard to actively make the game worse over time. Hope its worth not having to wait for a hearth to sell crap.
Also, the mount looks awful. Nobody is going to genuinely ride that thing around.

He’s friend shaped and I enjoy him, I don’t really care about being called/labelled anti-consumer, ultimately I play for my enjoyment.
Truly the perfect consumer.
“Head empty, must consoom. No care about anything. Must consoom.”
Again, nobody can stop you, but don’t be surprised by the disdain either.

I would love to see your BDSM test score, your Brat score must be off the charts!
Not head empty, just unabashedly selfish and focused on myself instead of worrying about what others think.

I’ll hold you to that but I know you lack the self control to stay away.
Oh look you already broke that.
At least you’re honest about your deficiencies. Unless you’re one of those who has been fooled into thinking shameless selfishness and self absorption are virtues.

When it comes to video games that are ultimately at the end of the day outlets for entertainment virtues don’t really come into the equation.
Sure they do. Why wouldn’t they? WoW is a community based game afterall. I think its important to do things that benefit the WoW community. And encouraging blizzard to make the game actively worse and more greedy to satisfy their endless corporate lust for money is to the community’s detriment.

Wouldn’t the profitability of the game encourage Microsoft to allocate more resources to the game?

When the profitability is derived increasingly from low effort recolored mount cashgrabs? No. if anything that tells them that less effort = more money. Because they save on dev costs when they pump out crap like this.

I used a combo of tokens and cash. $90 was a bit much, so I bought 4 tokens and knocked it down to $30 before tax.
Damn sales tax on online purchases.
So the issue here is the model not the price?
Am I typing in non-English? I think I made it very clear that the issue was tying player convenience to a ludicrous price tag. The fact that the model is also a lazy, ugly, recolor is just icing on the cake and really drives home how low shameless they decided to be with it.

I’m glad they let people do that. If I had bunch of gold I would probably do the same. For now I had to use my card, and hope that wife doesn’t say " WTF is this charge from Blizzard again"
This was because there where several posts before the mount came to the shop about how they would pay big money to get the AH mount. Blizzard just listened to people what they want. I mean it was such a quality of life item for me, its worth every single cent. Was it expensive ?? Hell yea , its insane for what we gave $100. But again quality of life, and player demand.
“We whined for blizzard to let us paypiggie for them and they listened”
Yeah, and that’s the problem. Good job. You think I blame Blizzard for doing what any corporation would do? Not particularly. It’s in a corporation’s nature to be as greedy as physically possible. It’s in the foundation of a corporation as a concept. It’s up to the customers to keep them in-line. But WOW players are unfortunately conditioned to lack financial discipline, to the games detriment.

Yeah it’s a bit pricey I admit, I think they should have tied the mount to a charity and donated the proceeds from the mount keeping the price tag the same. That way people get their Longboi, and less fortunate people get the help they need.

Look, Korrsica, I like you. I’m not trying to double team you because having multiple adversarial engagements at once sucks.
But there is absolutely no shortage of teleportation or bag slot storage in the modern game. I don’t really understand how, if this is the way you feel, you think it’s worth the minor convenience to basically encourage this from Blizzard. Consumption always carries compromises, but some things are more optional than others.
If I’m honest, I don’t think there is a way I can understand because I don’t want to, I don’t like the behavior, even if I place the blame largely on Blizzard. But I wanted to say something myself.

I very much appreciate your honesty, I’m not trying to vehemently defend it and try to say it’s good for the game or anything. If the outlook of other players seeing me wanting to purchase this mount suggests to them that I support or encourage microtransactions to be further implemented that’s entirely up for them to decide. I am neither enrougaging or discouraging it, it exists and nothing I do or decide to not do will change that. So ultimately, if I am able to obtain this for no cost to myself other than a few hours here and there of hitting gathering nodes (Of which I find relaxing to do) then yeah I’ll have it. I wasn’t one of the ones who was asking for it but it’s there so I’ll have it. I understand where you’re coming from and I respect your decision, I have no reason to disparage you for that decision it’s none of my concern. I personally think voting with your wallet doesn’t work, so I just take advantage of what I can and seize opportunities that are available to me.
