Rune Factory is part of the Harvest Moon subgenre of farming sim popular on Nintendo consoles. Afaik, it isn’t exploitative at all.

I don’t pay anything for this game, I paid for my first sub and since then it’s been all WoW tokens thanks other people spending their money so I can sell them gold through the AH via Tokens.
I’m not, but its ok if others do.
Even if I had in-game money I wouldn’t buy it because for every fifteen dollars earned this way it’s $20 spent by the person buying the WoW token. It’s against my principles to encourage in-game advantages gatekept behind ludicrous pricing regardless of how its gotten.

A bit harsh for me, I’m more of “hate the game, not the player” on this. And I’m pretty weeby!
but i think how utterly exploitative gacha is has gone a long way towards inuring audiences to this, while I think it’s sent me the opposite direction out of spite.

I am very weeby. in fact, I’m a big fate fan. Guess how happy I am that the series has devolved into being Gachaslop for the last decade or so.

I have enough gold that 1.5 million (give or take) would still leave me with a pretty good pile of gold
I could also just spend $90 because that’s just 1.5 hours of overtime
Even with those both being the case, I still don’t feel a great urge to purchase it (despite that the mount has a lot going for it).
I will be silly and hold out for it showing up on the trader post or as part of the holiday mount sale in ~2 months

Nice, I’m keeping my hunter in t4 as its one of my favorite sets. Would love to see a remake of that.

The brutosaur is a mark of shame tbh. They can parade it around in the city all they want and shill it on the forums, when you talk to normal players outside of those settings, most of them are laughing at the paypiggies.

I really dislike spending money in a game outside of buying the game and a subscription. However with that said I have zero problem spending your money buying things in wow.

I don’t really think it’s that deep, but if they want to that doesn’t bother me I don’t play games I like because I need to feel validated by others I just play them because I want to and if something makes my life playing that game more convenient I welcome it.
