Just curious how others are feeling about warlock so far, mainly for pve. I’m going to level my lock through the isles soon.
Which spec is your favorite atm? Least favorite? I’m probably playing aff or destro as usual.
honestly its like any other class… can use some tweaking and buffing/reworks. but overall its alright, it will depend on your skill with it for affliction and destro. Demo questing is stupid easy until around lvl 67+ where you have to just make sure your not over pulling for your pet to handle.
for keys/raiding it will come down to your skill level with the spec your playing… Demo is top easiest in both, affliction is decent in raids and needs higher keys for you to be more useful, destro is decent in raids but really lacking in keys
just read the topics on the warlock forum, you will know how much we are enjoying the game in dragonflight.
I have been enjoying it so far, still playing my Affliction weird petless vampire built for fun, that even feeds on the poor demons to use their powers (Just wish I could make pacts with other Beings for more variety and synergy with the Grimoires talent abilities with the rest of the talent tree 
). Sorry got carried away but you get the idea lol! 
Like mention, it performs ok, I wish it had a bit more flashy soul reaping, life drain or any type of big FX with its rotation get people and NPC breaking group so the don’t get a contagious curse, like a lot enemy NPC’s seem to have flashy curses that work that way… but that just a personal preference. 
Its fun if you play around outside the meta, really fun, however in my own novice experience it might get a bit frustrating if you try to do more “competitive content” like mention by others here… Even though I’m fairly new to picking up Affliction, there is only very few way you may use your talents to perform decently. 
Still great in AoE or if NPC or a Player have a lot of pets, allies around or both, literally a 4th of July of purple flame fireworks! 
(it reminds me of how Lilian Voss left purple flames immolation corpses in that old quest in Forsaken Territory)
Probably my favorite FX of the whole Affliction tree… wish so much it could be enhance somehow to trigger other FX or synergy with other powers/talents, but I can see it be OP so I’m guessing its intended to stay as it is. 
Yeah, i enjoy it quite a lot.
Destruction feels ok/good
Affliction i miss having most of my damage and time spent on dots. my bias: not fond of my damage time spent on soul drain, malefic grasp, or shadowbolt spam. Would rather deal with dots.
Demonology: I much preferd an older Demo where your power came through just your main pet and buffing him and yourself with 1 dot like corruption. Hand of guldan back then was just a CD cleave spell unhooked from soulshards as well. Not liking the soulshard spamming into hand of guldan demonoic core playstyle thats going on. again bias but thats just me.
I’m enjoying it so far except for two major pain points:
Even with the Burning Rush changes, the loss of soulshape feels extremely bad with how little instant/movement casts Destro has. I wish we had a leap or blink, even on a high CD, to replace it. There’s too much forced movement right now and our lack of instant casts feels excruciating.
Destro is undertuned pretty bad right now. The 4 piece is pretty meh, so even with high haste + tier, it’s frustrating. plsbuffdestro

I love demonology in Dragonflight just as I did in Shadowlands. I am hoping they rework some abilities and nodes on the talent tree. I dabble in affliction occasionally and I never really cared for Destruction, so it doesn’t get much play.
I should have leveled my rogue, but it’s too late to turn back!
If by decent you mean nearly at the bottom… Or is it opposite day and I’ve missed something? I guess it could be worse, at least it’s marginally better than destro…

I main Demo and it’s fun, however, Shadow Bolt feels painfully slow without haste. I still think Blizz should make its baseline cast-time 1.6 seconds.
I do like the change to Burning Rush though, to the point where I’ve actually started using it!
I love my lock! I have been affliction since i started playing a warlock back in Wrath(except for doing the green fire quest when I played destruction). For me affliction just fits. I had zero problems leveling in dragonflight except around 69 when I pulled a few too many. Now, with a little bit better gear, no problems.
People are on some massive amount of copium if they think 15-20% dps difference is skillable 
Maybe it is in LFR and low tier normal pugs but I want to see these people out skill these meta dps in mythic raid on a dumpster spec consistently.
Love it. I have always enjoyed Destro and Demo playstyle and the current Demo feels the most like a master of demons it has ever felt to me.
I would be happy if it did more damage. It’s basically just a shard recharge at the moment.
Demo is a blast, I killed a fire mage & MM hunter out in the open last night.
That’s its main purpose, shard generation, which is why the cast time feels so painful.
Feels bad to play right now.

Yea problem is if you visit every class forum it will say THIER class is the bottom rated class and nowhere near the top.
I’ve literally seen DH and Rogue forums complaining that their class is trash and EVERYONE out damages them. I’ve seen Prot Warriors on their forum saying the other tanks are better
Then dont get me started on rankings. 4 different pages done by 4 different records and while the top 2-3 are usually the same the rest is a hot mess. You’ll find Shadow Priest near the top half on one and near the bottom half of the other. which is why EVERY forum says THEIR class sucks cause there is no telling where they actually got their data.
I mean literally check out the Priest forum and most are saying Shadow is DEAD last in DPS rankings then go to Warlock and you’ll see Affliction is DEAD last in Rankings. Then go to Hunters and Survival is DEAD last in rankings.
