I don’t know about you all but right now I’m feeling like the anima system is not working that good. I’m quickly amassing more souls than anima needed to upgrade the sanctum. This isn’t even considering buying things from the vendor.
You need well over 100k anima to fully upgrade the sanctum. The renown cosmetic gear set is over 30k in anima alone.
At the 1000 per week rate for the weekly quest, which seems a reasonable amount to get per week to me, it would take at least 3 years to fully upgrade the sanctum and buy the renown cosmetic set. Not including anything else that takes anima.
35 anima per M+ seems like a bug to me?
What do you all think about the current state of the anima system?

I like it, no issue.
I have one wish for the system and that is the quest is given to you automatically (even better if it doesn’t take up a quest spot) so I don’t get hundreds of anima and then realize I forgot to pick up the 1000 anima quest every Tuesday like I’ve been doing LOL!

I think its wroking fine, as it gives me something to work toward. unlike the vast majority of people who picked their covenent based upon some min max ability, i picked based on the one i found the most interesting and had the coolest rewards, so all the anima im gathering is to go toward something i want making it meaningful.

Keep in mind WQ anima will go up when we get the WQ reward upgrades on Tuesday. And then every other time after that as well I imagine. We will be swimming in it in a couple months.

have not paid attention to it really as it holds no true value other than upgrading covenant gear

Good system, suffering typical Blizzard limitations. Twice the anima needs to drop from every source. The souls needed should be the bottleneck, but it’s the damn lack of anima.

You mean the war resources system?

honestly I feel completely apathetic towards the whole thing

It’s amusing how the first iteration of the mission table, resources-wise, was the best: useful rewards (tons of gold, even post Blingtron Vault’s nerf), passive resource accumulation (500-1000 resources every day).
WoD was really one the best expansions, for PvP altoholics.

I’m getting 92,000 for the sanctum. The Conductor, Portal Network, and Adventure Table are 16,000 each and the “special one” (eg. Abomination
Factory for Necrolords) is 44,000.
That aside, almost everything that costs anima, like the cosmetic sets and battle pets, is optional.
feels basically like legions AP, its everywhere. like the 1k quest, i get done every tuesday, easily. so i dont see an issue, and we have a long time still to collect anima, and we will start getting more soon.
now the only 550 Conquest per week… thats annoying.

I have no issue with the anima system. It is the same as the garrison resources or order hall resources before, except nothing mandatory that requires anima. Just need to prioritize on what I want to spend on. For me, it is gear upgrade, so I don’t upgrade the sanctum beyond level 1. Next would be the Stewart pet. After that, whatever I feel like, or I can just stop collecting it if nothing interesting to me. All of these are pure optional, which is nice.
I was the opposite. I had a vast amount of anima saved up but couldn’t spend because I didn’t have souls (I’m not spending anything on mog until my sanctum is maxed).
In any case there is no significant power gains locked behind anima so I don’t care if it takes a while.
Last tuesday alone I got 2k anima. You can get much more than 1k per week.

There is easily 600-800 anima up from wqs alone every day if someone cared to hit them all.
a worse artifact power system… I still dislike the 1k anima weekly chore… eventually numbers might go up enough so we can get it done faster than now.
Just artifact power/Azerite again
