leveling an alt while waiting for a friend to catch up but he keeps dying pre lvl 15. started a warrior have 0 knowledge of classic outside of stuff to lvl 20 and 0 knowledge of warrior outside of speed leveling one many years ago on retail.
not doing SSF just playing by regular rules. friend was a hunter but likely won’t play a healer in HC. my other toons all pretty much healers but around lvl 10-17. So i am just wondering from someone like me are they fun and worth swapping to as a main or better off just keeping as an alt kind of thing? Don’t know how far i will get before dying with this toon im guessing dead by lvl 20 though. highest HC warrior i got i think was lvl 10 before dying.
Stop forcing yourself into the game world and know your limits… try walking sometimes through area cause walking is less liking to draw mobs unless you get extremely close. As a warrior, I tend to play in the starting zone killing more than the quest allows, Focus on things like blocking, Dodge and fist fight for a few quest. Check your stats to see what’s weakest and focus on that for a while. Search for weapons that have a fast attach speed and more damage. using a two-handed sword might work for a time. but when several mobs attach you at once, the slow two hander isn’t ideal to defend yourself. When fist fighting, try a shield in the other hand. Do a few of the main quest in the staging area then run to stormwind and do this town quest. There is a lot of running back in forth from staging area to staging area. I think your best option would be to play a Pal this way the two handed weapon would come in handy and you can heal yourself along the way. Once you’ve tried the Pal then try a warrior. Something I’ll add here, once you get to level 5 or so, head to IF and train “throwing weapons” as this way you can draw a single creature out (if you’re attract is good and not noticed by all the mobs).
yea thats kind of what i been doing lately since im tired of dying and starting over pre official servers. just going slower pace and trying to avoid caves as much as i can or at least play safer.
probably will save a 1h and shield regardless for tanking. i have a paladin on Hold already it’s lvl 8 only though. got a priest as main lvl 17 and druid lvl 11. just pretty much waiting for friend to remake at this point and catch up hence i made the warrior for a more solo journey. figure by the time he catches up i can always just swap to warrior if i don’t die or swap to my priest.
so far lvl 7 though but yea going to the harder part of SW with the murlocs and all that so should be fun if anything yea imma head to IF and do all the easier quests and come back to SW
Are you looking to survive or have a lot of fun?
Keep your gear, weapon specifically, up to date. Do green, or low yellow quests (-2 or more from your level).
Play like a coward. Cowards survive.
Warriors aren’t difficult, but they can be very unforgiving if you make mistakes. That’s why if you are going to play Warrior you should pick up Engineering. Engineering gives you the ability to disengage, reset or otherwise power through mistakes you might make while playing Warrior to let you stay alive.
100%
Target dummy can make difference between life or death.
Not only for warriors though.
Warriors are definitly the most fun and the highest challenge. I say if you reach 60 with warrior, you have completed HC. No need to play anymore. I play 2 warriors at the same time. So if one die I can play the other.

RIP i died at lvl 10 -.-" ended up pulling 2 mobs for a quest nobody to help. could of easily killed the 2 off but was trading blows and when i tried to pot i guess GCD caused pot not to function or just was dead by time i tried to pot.
think imma just keep warrior on back burner for now until i get more experience. has been a little fun i suppose though not as easy as other classes i’ve leveled and needing a bit more setup/help.
oh dear
Warrior can 1v3 at level 10.
You’ll need a green weapon, and shield at least.
Go agane
dont got any high level toons to fund this one. just got back and play super casually. last i played HC was on regular servers.
i can 1v2 no doubt just didn’t pot when i should have instead of trying to trade blows. went mage though gonna try get more experience at least to 40 then roll a warrior for solo.
neither did I when I started
green weapon goes for a few silver on the AH… not hard to make with a couple professions like skinning and mining
I believe using a pot resets the melee swing timer as well. Having a swing timer addon can help you time using a pot immediately after a swing.
Ever try the “breaking out is hard to do” quest in redridge Mountains. If you run in, you’ll get killed instantly. With the correct timing, walk in and grab the key and walk out…
Ah I see! That quest in Redridge explains that walking lowers the aggro range of mobs? They should put all these tips in loading screens, unless I missed it, and not just one Alliance side quest.
Short answer: fun as hell! Risky, but get pots and lvl eng asap.
Talking about heart trouble… my chest was pounding after seeing dozens of players die trying to get that key. I had two options… walk in or hire a rouge to grab for a group. A rouge wasn’t around so I took a chance… waited till the mounted horde/guard was just about at the other side of the fence in area walked in and out to get the key. However it takes a while to open the bag/chest etc… to it’s in the timing.
think i’ve done that on my priest and survived. actually got killed by other gnolls there. pull 1 on the ridge only to find 2 more behind it behind a giant boulder. feared um, killed 1, eventually went oom and got rooted to hell XD. know that quest all too well for some reason. rarely did it but think i had issues with it long ago
takes tact to draw some creature out. Sometimes you select right, while other times you miss the target. I’d say 80% of the time I’ve selected the correct target to draw one out at a time.
yea ive learned that the hard way thats why now i pull more then i know i can handle i just run away. usually i pull close to big camps they are far enough to not aggro but 50% of the time still aggro.
ended up making a paladin see how far i get. not used to playing melee in WoW but other games i love melee but mainly only play WoW now days as far as mmorpg’s go. was thinking remaking a warrior and being more serious about it but had a feeling i was not gonna get too far XD or get asked to tank and not a huge fan of tanking. will heal easily but not tanking too many bad experiences.
