am new to classic wow and want to know, how magic classes are in classic?
They are beasts!
Warlock is fine in every aspect of the game.
good I created a orc warlock when the severs open
What is your game goal?
Raid… expect to provide a debuff, shadowbolt none stop and provide stones.
PvP… don’t expect mobility, but you would be a force on the field
raid would be my thing

Lock doesn’t need mobility. They’re raid bosses that can spam fear.**
They can be a bit boring compared to say mage, but are good. The debuff limit will force you to be destroy in raids. Hit is tough to get on a lock till around AQ. They are mostly there in the beginning as a support caster, but you can do really good damage. Be careful though if you bolt too hard, you will pull aggro. Threat on locks are no joke. So hope for good tanks
Oh I know Boomer… I loved PvP on this toon back than. Dot, Dot, fear
thanks for the advice cant wait to play
There are a ton of good videos on them. They are fun. I have a lot of love for the class
I also made a human mage
pve can be boring but they do fine. PvP now that’s where it’s at, locks are beasts in pvp.
I really don’t know what faction I want to main
Horde is for the cool kids and Alliance is for scum…
The most fun I had in original WoW was with my warlock and hanging out with my guild master, another warlock. There was one episode where he, already at 60, summoned a couple doomguards over 10 minutes or so with our help, and set the demon loose in the Crossroads. We were horde. There was anger. There was laughter. There was confusion. It was glorious.
This was before 1.12, so I’m not sure if those doomguard raids can be replicated, but they were fun while they lasted. Also during the Tarren Mill vs. Southshore battles, us warlocks could just throw DoTs on everything we could and stay out of the fray as best we can.
Warlocks are the best 1v1 class in vanilla. Better off playing horde tho, stay away from will of the forsaken. There’s nothing worse than an undead rogue on you that’s unfearable due to the undead racial.
I just could never get into retail wow felt alone playing the game and its good to know that its going to be more social in classic
