How are trinkets looking this season?

big issue i had with s2 was how there were so many trinkets that were complete and utter duds, especially the delve trinkets. a lot of the raid trinkets were pretty underwhelming and buttcheeks too

Hard to say tuning wise but from the str pov there’s a lot of passive options for trinkets and not many 90s on use trinkets, but plenty of 2min on use options.

Dungeons have mostly decent options assuming tuning from the Tazavesh trinkets are similar in power to their SL power levels they’ll be on par with or better than the returning TWW dungeon trinkets.

There is one pseudo 90s on use trinket from raid that grants your primary stat, but it works kinda like spymasters but I also believe this trinket is an ‘everyone trinket’ so competition on it will be fierce as it caps out it’s 15 stacks in ~150s assuming perfect proc rate on the direct damage / stack increase but with delays it’ll line up much better with 3min burst windows to be fully stacked so how it’s used for some specs looks like it’ll more likely be something you bind separate as opposed to macroing it into your cooldown.

Who knows what tuning they’ll end up with in the next 1-2 months of testing before the season releases.

Many of the new delve trinkets have simple stat procs, which tend to perform better than the damage procs. If history is any indicator, some will be OP for their ilvl and the rest will be junk. S2 was an improvement on S1 so we’ll see how it shakes out. It’ll all depend on tuning.

Sacbrood is an easy good trinket for anyone. Pacemaker is OP for anyone not a caster. Tank trinket for Tavesh is super good for M+. Signet still around.

In the raid two insane burst trinkets. A 2min Int/Agi trinket I believe that will make some specs explode when used. A spymasters esqe trinket for melee that will be quite strong.

Trinkets look fine this season. Still plenty of duds because blizzard doesn’t know how to balance on use damage trinkets to be useful, but plenty of stat boosting ones that will be very popular.

Raid has tons of good trinkets. M+ dungeon pool was partly decided based off which ones had good trinkets. I think we will be alright.

The raid trinket you mentioned later def fills the niche.

The Lily from the new dungeon is dog. Massively undertuned giving 8250 mastery at 681 while HoC gives 8150 at 671 with the same CD. Assuming its tuned the same it would be a dirext replacement though

Kinda yes and kinda no, since it doesnt provide an immediate benefit for the opening set of cooldowns. So it’s defintely not as good as a standard 90s when comparing it 1:1.

It’s a weird one honestly.
