I am returning to the game and one of my favorite activities is to solo old raids.
I am hoping to solo up through legion and possibly some BFA raids once I get geared in SL.
How are priests at soloing raid content?
Any class with an AoE is great.
The better question would be does Priest have the mobility to make soloing old raids comfortable.
The answer to that is no.

Hopefully there is a replacement for Lightfoot Potion in SL because otherwise it is a massive pain getting around.

Thanks for the response! Makes sense, I am currently torn between rolling either a paladin or a priest - would paladin solve the mobility issue or be better at soloing more difficult raid content?

Honestly it’s easier for me to solo old raids as Holy/Disc than Shadow because I can just run around spamming Holy Nova.

I do fine soloing old raids but I am content with turning the sound off and doing it casually

I actually enjoy soloing old raids on my Holy Priest. I was surprised how much I enjoy taking him through old raids, the area spells take down multiple mobs at once, and the potent single spells drop a boss very quickly.

Paladin’s mobility is also quite bad.
In terms of ability to solo I put them roughly the same.

Eh, Paladin mobility is probably ties for the worst with Priest TBH.
Even DK gets Wraith Walk and Deaths Advance(or whatever that other one is called).
I normally use my Resto Druid if I’m just mount or gold farming or whatever. Cat form is fast plus they have Dash.
Shaman Ghostwolf is decent too.
That said, tho I do use my Priest of I’m running for xmog obviously and Angelic Death ain’t bad. Or Body and Soul that speeds you up with Shield.
But yeah, in my opinion Druid is best for general farming of raids and dungeons.
Do people forget Body and Soul and Angelic Feather exist or something when they talk about mobility? Death Knight and Paladin are probably the two slowest classes ingame.
