How are ppl failing visions?

So easily?

I keep seeing ppl say they went in and couldnt even make it to thrall…

Like, how do you not get past 2 packs of mobs before the boss? And even ON the boss (whos at his easiest with no other areas done) how do you fail him???

Im head scratching right now.

Im not a pro player at all and i full clear Org with a full sanity bar left.

What was your GS going in? doing visions at 385 as a priest, one pack would kill me in seconds. All the bleed effects in this patch can kill clothies really fast.

I failed my first one accidentally pulling a second pack while kiting the first haha.

Im at 456 ish. I know thats good and priest is probably bad at visions anyway.

People shouldnt be attempting new content with LOWER ilvl than last season “average” ilvls.

Do some wq’s, do emmisaries, get crafted gear off AH, work a little, get to M0 and LFR lvls and do those. THEN do your visions with no less than 430 ilvl.

Heaps better.

Some people are playing with disadvantages to begin with so that plays a role in their difficulty level.
You won’t hear from them because they don’t want the game changed just for them.

Plus, regardless of situations, there is a way to do it. Use invis pots, run to the 2 guards, take them out, replace sanity with the potion by the door or use your orb and go do Thrall.

I couldn’t figure out the Mage Tower which is why I never got the skins but I figured Thrall out pretty fast as it is relatively easy up to cloak level 5 anyway.
I haven’t done any further yet.

  • Also, what Mercayd said above. I didn’t do them til my ilvl was 430 on both my DK and DH. That makes it relatively easy and you can get your ilvl up pretty fast the way he says.
    They’re raining gear down on us now, too.

Because - they are undergeared and/or do less than 20k dps - probably closer to the 15k mark.

People killing mythic raid bosses are typically in the top 10% of players.

have you run LFR lately and seen the average ability of handling mechanics & dps of the player there?

Thrall murders my blueberry relatively easily because I have to keep moving because if you’re not already moving when he turns to you, you’re getting stunned by his line attack. So I have to stop, cast, move, stop, cast, move, etc. Channeling is straight out unless he’s doing the AOE donuts. I also did my first one with 422ilvl, iirc.

The person may have an actual disability irl which limits what they can do in game

Some are just way to undergeared or fresh 120 and don’t know the class

Most however, are just bad players, and o don’t mean that in a mean way, not everyone is good at the game, just like how few actually seemed to beat the mage tower in legion

I definitely haven’t been able to do a full clear but I’ve managed to get to rank 8 failing like 4-5 times.

I don’t know why people get so upset when they fail. If you do, just get another vessel and try again.

I also do understand that it’s easier for some classes than others right now. In that case people should really consider trying it with a friend.

I know failing sucks but people really shouldn’t give up. Failing them just made me want to succeed even more.

I overestimated my abilities and pulled mobs I thought I could take before Sanity running out.
Learning from mistakes is important. It’s just sort of a pity I have to wait so long to try again. These vials of old god spunk or whatever I’m using as the key isn’t as abundant as the 100 tokens needed to get into the Mage Tower.

Either they mass pull, either they’re undergeared. I know (from personal experience) that if you try to mass pull, the totems chainpull will kill you pretty easily, especially if the blobs die on the totems. There’s also some pretty nasty affixes sometimes like the burning feet one in Stormwind.

I have rank 8 on two characters and rank 5 or above on 4 more and have only failed twice but I panic in there. That content is just so stressful to me, I end up with a headache if I do several in a row.

My friend came in there today with me and he wants to farm mailboxes. He asks me where they are because I have been in there a lot - heck I don’t know I don’t look around. Then he goes, we have time to google this …

It has a 1.5ish second cast. Plenty of time to move.

I came back after 2 months off,I didn’t read anything or look anything up,so I failed the first one .

If I have to guess it was much harder because of your ilvl. 385 is way bellow the normal ilvl someone who actively plays the game would have (you can even get better gear from normal dungeons), I am sure they did not design visions with sub 420 ish ilvl in mind; but yeah, it is not easy unless you are a rogue or DH.

I get like that, too. It’s the timer that triggers it, lol.

If you’re in valley of strength in Org, there’s mailboxes all over the place.
Pretty much in the other areas, too.

The packs are deadly to cloths and even leathers. I’ve done three visions “Thrall”. Two time I camo to Thrall, on third time I pull the packs before I hit camo. Lucky Surv is good with aoe and have a pet to tank.
It got a little dicey with health and madness "what it called?.
Also I was under 420 ilvl when I did them.
