Just wondering. I’ve got a few alts that I have used the catalyst charges for PvE tier pieces. Are you guys just making alts of the same class so you have charges to use for PVP pieces?
Tank or healer roles. M10+ gives myth tier. Crafted epics also max item level.
I just start doing M+ every season in conquest gear, and upgrade it/gradually replace it as I do more PVE content.
Rated PVP no longer has a vault so you don’t have to choose between PVP/PVE gear as your weekly reward anymore.
I may not be understanding the question, but doesn’t using the catalyst on a piece of PvP gear turn it into a PvE tier armor piece? It wouldn’t make sense to do this if you’re using your PvP gear for PvP.
Catalyzing pvp gear into tier keeps its pvp boosted ilvl effect.
Ah, ok. I assume, though, this is only useful for players who are acquiring PvP gear solely for the purpose of converting them into PvE gear, right?
No it’s for pvp, the tier effects may be reduced in pvp but they’re still active
I made a warrior for pvp. This guy. And then I made a tank for pve a druid. I honestly don’t think it would be very easy to do both on the same character. I had to farm nearly 100k and I’m still not done with this guy…with everything being gated by delves and elitism I haven’t really done much with my tank. It feels kinda like you can’t do both at the same time. You really do need to pick one and go after it while avoiding the other side of the game if you wanna be competitive with bis and stuff. It’s actually kinda depressing tbh. I wanna get into mythics but the crawl of gearing for pve is astonishingly long. It’s just easier to log in and pvp a bit…more fun too. Tis a shame. Maybe I’m a minority but yea…there’s two sides to this game and they are indeed far too separated.
Because of the anniversary event most ppl are doing just that to earn marks of honor for PvP gear & old PvP gear for transmog. Korroks Revenge makes it easy if you have multiple alts ijs
I just queue as tank in solo rated bgs and randoms for the weeklies, my pve ilvl is high enough as dps that it lets me in as tank on lower ilvl, and honestly I don’t even do bad lol I’m annoying af with constant roots from thunderclap and with cds I can survive for a long time. And that’s with 0 vers. I can’t imagine how effective I’d be with full pvp, but man I’ve done that for a decade, I am chilling in pve this xpac. Pvp is my sidequest now until I passively get enough conq for full conq gear.
You take a stat hit or raid mythic/vault with 10s for tier.
I got really lucky and got heroic 4 piece second of third week, so I didn’t need to use a catalyst on PvP.
But the fact that you need to make the choice is pure garbage.
When that doesn’t happen, I prioritize PvE and round back to PvP after.
You either wait to catalyze PvP stuff, play without tier for a bit or get mythic track pieces.
You just gear up slower than someone with more than one character.
Imo bring back pvp sets.
I just converted some pvp gear to tier (Make sure it has vers first). And just get gear threw delves and stuff. Nothing major. I don’t do M+ all the time like alot of PvEr’s. but I dabble when they need a 5th.
as a “serious casual”, i have tanking gear for pve on this druid and pvp gear to heal in LFG BGs. I only catalyze my pve gear.
if i decide to be a damage dealer in a BG, i just stay in my tanking gear. i don’t know how to cat or space chicken
