easily doable if you don’t waste money ever. outside that, pimp some gold hos
Kill every mob. Sell all the trash. Do not laser focus on quests. You will make lots of money by 30 and lots more by 40.
Don’t forget to cook the things you can before you vendor that meat and fish. Anything you don’t have to buy extra ingredients for, even if it’s no points anymore, will sell for more than raw. If your cloth isn’t selling on AH, don’t just vendor. Turn it into bandages 1st. Or, if you have a tailor friend, have them crank out a batch of vendor whites and split profit. same for leather and ore if you have it falling out your bank vault and no market for it. Almost everything is worth more if you do the thing to it 1st.
- sold everything I looted
- cooked all the meat
- turned silk to bandages because my AH sucks and no one is paying a good price for a 20 stack
- have like 20 skills I still haven’t purchased
- farmed mobs 35+ when I could because their weapon drops sale for a lot
had 95g when I hit 40. got my mount, but now i’m stupid broke.
blame it on my smile bb, why?
30g at 30 is really good. Keep on. Most of your mount money will come closer to 40. This level bracket you’ll see your gold go up significantly if you are being frugal.
selling stuff and dungeons . trash items even give lots of money when you sell them depending on lvl range .
This has be debunked by blue post.
Selling things in AH. Ive foynd some cool things while farming XP
But you’re rollin’!
Lots obviously. I am 38 and I have 80g and won’t have a problem with the remaining 12. I did get ahead of the pack on my professions though.
And I bought gear from the ah from time to time throughout that process as well - mostly weapons.
Some people are able to get the good drops and sell them on the AH.
I just got two-hand spec for my shaman and I noticed people had killmaim and dense triangle mace on the AH. I’ve never even seen the mobs that drop those, but I don’t think they can be soloed.
Combine this with layering exploitation - someone with lots of friends could jump from layer to layer to slay the boss that drops the good loot, and basically farm the drops that sell for gold pieces.
Skinning will let you pay for your training, but you won’t get rich skinning. The riches come from the rare drops.
The richest I’ve ever been in WoW is when I got a rare drop.
Find out where the expensive stuff drops and just grind until you get it.
If I wasn’t a tailor I would be selling wool on my server.
I went to buy a stack of wool and couldn’t believe the prices. Astronomical.
silk for a 20 stack is around 10s at the AH. can’t remember the price, but I do know I made more by turning it into heavy bandages and selling it.
I gave up on the AH once I realized people were selling for less than vendor, and no one was buying unless it was the absolute cheapest. my copper ore would only net me a 15c profit per stack because of how low everyone else is selling. just easier for me to vendor(on my server) until the economy picks up.
Wool is like 2 silver for 1 wool on my server.
Not 1 stack of wool. 1 wool.
A stack is like 50 silver. It’s nuts.
i got my mount a 40 and didn’t do any layering abuse to do it. i picked certain professions and grinded certain mobs and ran some dungeons and got lucky rolls on drops and chest in dungeons. I also started saving at 32 and didn’t buy any extra skills that wouldn’t get the job done until after i got my mount. Play smart.
just looked at mine. a stack of 20 wool is 19s, a stack of silk is 32s, and mageweave is currently 1g per stack but mainly because not a lot of people are within the mageweave range.
I wish wool was going for 50s on my server, I probably would’ve just gone back and grinded WC for my mount money.
The above folks habe given some good advice. I’d especially recommend getting addons that will tell you how much things vendor for, how much they’re currently selling for, and one to auto sell your junk. I’m currently using Auctionator and Junk to accomplish these. If you want to get really detailed, buying things that people are auctioning for less than vendor then vendoring them can make a surprising amount over time.
i was selling wands day1-day8 and had 65g by level 25 and made 10slot bags in the 30s for tons of gold.
That seems pretty low and likely you aren’t spending time on mobs that drop decent vendor loot and cloth or items you can sell.
You should be grinding some mob quest longer. If I notice high silver items dropping on a quest even after its done i will stay 30+ mins and fill my bags. When I turn it in. It adds up. It isn’t wasted time.
Another example say for your level at 1,000 needles the minotaur camp behind the Free wind post. I spent time farming them anytime i was either passing through or figuring out where to go next. They drop silk, items 1 silver a mob at times. Easy to kill. This was to finish leveling First Aid and to sell the remainder.
Another example is in the shimmering flats there are basilisk that you can kill fast and skin in a pit there. They drop scales and parts that have a high silver rate. You should be making a few gold an hour. Make sure to have 10 slot bags at least farm them go to the outpost vendor everything the skinning you want to sell mail it to an alt. Go back farm again.
